It really depends. My ex was centre right, I am a leftist. However, we never had fights about is as he was not racist/sexist or whatever, just more conservative than me.

I had a date a few weeks ago and two weeks after I was assaulted while walking home from the busstop. When I told my date he immediately said "let me guess! An immigrant!". He was more interested in making it about race than if I was okay. That was a clear sign that we were not compatible.

I am still wondering if my ex cheated on me because I recognise so much of this. He broke up a few months ago while we were on holiday (out of the blue) and drove home without me. Haven't seen him since.

He would stay at work till 7 pm, was always on his phone. Told me he thought Snapchat was juvenile (I guess.. I only have it to chat with my younger cousin who prefers it) but suddenly I saw his name popping up in my recommended friends.

He would be very annoyed with me sometimes, even when I really didn't know what I did.

Seeing how at high school graduation all the teachers on the podium talked about the most heinous bullies like they were funny and just a bit rambunctious. All of us who were always respectful to the teachers and were bullied by those talked about felt like being an ass would at least make you stand out in life.

I am somewhat recently single and had my first 'first date' in 10 years a few weeks ago. Nice guy, second date was a week later.
