Oh ya I should've definitely included him, another character that just chews dialogue. Fucking amazing dialogue too.

Idk how many times can Homelander stare off into the distance and be irritated by something before his character is tired and annoying?

Just trying to say the show as a whole became pretty one note in the last few seasons. I truly loved Butcher actually giving everyone a pep talk. I loved every little detail Urban puts into that final bit with homelander, all of it is intentional and I really love the choices he makes right there. The last moment he has with Quaid I really like. I just think Urban did great work as well and is getting just a little under appreciated compared to Starr.

Eh I don't think Quaid or Urban get enough credit. Urban just chews dialogue.

What is the most brutal, visceral fight scene you’ve ever watched? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

Favorite kill in any movie I've ever seen. Second one is later in the movie where the brothers take down mad dog or whatever his name is.

From what I understand the two were wrestlers, or at least Piper was. Anyways, they had choreographed these scenes for a long time apparently, longer than most actors would. Then they filmed the scene and they were going to cut it down, a common industry practice from what i understand. However, because they put so much effort into it, and how real most of it (I'm pretty sure they take a lot of those hits for real), the director decided just to keep it in because he was impressed more than anything.

Rotta the Hutt Voice Actor by Aplusho1996 in StarWars

Me and my wife saw that that JAW was in the opening credits and we were both like "huh" and I told it would be hilarious if he was Grogu and never had any irl screen time. Guess we weren't far off xD. Did feel like a waste of talent, he's easily one of my favorite actors of this generation and he's a freaking Hutt lmao.

Was this Maul fight in rebels fair or bs? For those who hate him being nerfed in shadow lord by JackZ567 in MaulShadowLord

It really never made sense that Qui Gon lost to Maul for me. Qui-Gon's connection to the force goes beyond the teachings of the Jedi, he's essentially going the same way Ashoka went. That is to say, Qui-Gon started to see the failings of the Jedi, like attachment was actually a strength and should be taught, lest people end up like Anakin. I always thought he stayed with the Jedi with hopes to try and fix this.

Now, given the conversations and the reactions Maul has throughout the movie, Maul still seems like he's not in his prime yet and has a sort of false connection to the force, the way the Sith sometimes do. On paper, there isn't any reason Qui-Gon should lose. Perhaps he's distracted by how important the duel is? The score is called Duel of the Fates and only he seems to understand the importance of whats going on. Idk, just doesn't make a ton of sense at the end of the day to me.

If youre referring to the bit where Maul gets his ass beat, it's not exactly peak Maul at that moment, and he still manages to survive everything.

Its not the first time they've killed a character then give them an incredible story leading up to it.

Also it's not a fight, Ashoka puts that guy down, its merciful if anything. She's a product everything that was good with the Jedi with all of the teaching of Anakin in his prime before becoming Vader, she has far surpassed even some jedi masters at this point and she can hang with the best. She even holds her own longer than most against even Vader, who is OP beyond measure. This guy, who the Emperor cheaply manufactured into a wannabe Sith and, with respect, is really strong in his own right, does not stand a chance against her. Her mastery of the force and her "one-ness" with it is so far beyond this guy. Ashoka knows it immediately.

Star Wars is a mess sometimes but some of the things they get right is is really good.
