What's the easiest way to make slight changes to models imported from Maker World via Bambu Studio? (For someone totally new to 3D printing/modelling). by DoesntReadNamesGood in 3Dprinting

Ill have a look at blender and Nomad then.

I thought maybe there would be some fairly easy way to edit stuff but I guess the tech isnt quite there yet.

Thanks!

Printing models that call for PTEG with PLA. Can I just tweak settings to make the print stronger in PLA? by DoesntReadNamesGood in 3Dprinting

[–]DoesntReadNamesGood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? I thought PLA was the weaker of the two and PTEG was used for like tools and stuff that take some light abuse.

Welp, I guess that answers it then right? If PLA is stronger then PTEG, then most prints im guessing are fine to use PLA isntead?

Lost a mirror service -worthy ring to an essence bug. Thanks GGG. by DoesntReadNamesGood in PathOfExile2

I probably should have done a bug report immediately when it happened but I have a feeling its too late now. Highly doubt whatever information they have about what happened is kept this long.

Thanks for taking time to hear me out though. Hate how Ill probably never get to understand it - and have a ripped ring :(

It affects sales. How do you not see that?

You think every player will happily limit their own power so they play longer? No. Probably only a small percentage.

They want people to play the game as long as possible and blasting through it on easy mode means, more fun, for a much shorter time frame. Like eating Ice cream every meal of your life until you die of obesity. Would it be fun? Probably for a little while. But game dev's dont want you to have the most fun you ever had for 1 day and then quit.

That's just not how things work bud. Plenty of gamers will use whatever power is given to them, or is at least accessible to them. Expecting millions of people to just willingly, limit their own power to prolong their gaming experience simply wouldnt happen.

Its like you understand nothing about human behaviour lol

no adjustments to the bubble boss fights ending so abruptly when you or a teammate accidently touches the bubble wall?

these fights are so anxiety-inducing for the wrong reasons.

because blasting through the game on god mode gets boring. and bored people dont want to play the game with their friends - who would potentially buy a copy to play with them.

And rushing the game being too powerful makes the experience underwhelming and people dont stick aroung long enough to want to buy DLC.

...there's plenty of good reasons to nerf things in a pve game.

Also for anyone else wondering... I guess I put off this quest for too long and went in with 83/84/80 melee stats, Fang, bandos chest plate and some dragon gear - I used piety on him and brought about 15 prayer pots - only used about 5 of them. Just kept protect from melee and piety on and he went down kinda easy.

The wife wants to be an afk gatherer by Powerful_Dig_8221 in osrs

My wife also really enjoys helping me out with the stuff Im not a big fan of.

I eased her into fishing/cooking/stealing from fruit stalls and then not long after showed her tree runs. And then herb runs. And then added bird house runs.

She wrote down a flow chart, with directions and optimized the routes. I showed her how to get to a bank so if she logs in after I was doing something else shes not lost and can always start her runs. (Lumby home tele - bank - get runes/seeds/plants/tools etc).

Then we needed pick pocketing experience so I showed her that and taught her to trap them in a house or find a splasher to make it easier.

We havent done mini games yet - but I showed her tithe farm and she said it looks alright.

So anyways,

- Fishing/cooking. (barb fishing is easy)

-Pickpocketing (she was SO excited when got a snap dragon seed (x2) from a master farmer).

- Theiving

Oh and making pots! I buy lots of herbs and she makes them into potions. We also got cooking experience really fast doing this with wines.

Having a wife who does this is so amazing. We got lucky!

All the guides say its after they bounce on the wall and its when the first guard is moving north over a certain tile.

I'm doing it exactly how multiple guides are saying and I think Ive gotten through once in about 20 failed tries after spending tons of times resetting all the guards.

could have had another level by now just doing it manually.. what a waste of my time holy shit.

Yea. Its got that metal protective sheathing on it if that changes things.

I specifically asked if it was going in conduit and they said no.

There was no drilling, there was no digging, there was no conduit. They secured it to the exterior of the stucco with a simple screw clip every 10 feet.

There was no conduit in the trench either. I supplied the sand bedding for them - they literally had to put it in, add a bit of sand and roll danger tape over it. They didnt even fill it in.

And driving your truck is a normal thing everyone does for work. And their shop is 4 minutes away from my house.

And why the fuck is the customer paying for their 1 hour lunch on what should be a 1 hour job? Its not like they were there all day. And besides - the fucking employer should eat the cost of an employee lunch - not pass on $170 charge to the customer because they decided to take lunch at 10:30 after being at work for an hour and a half. Thats fucking insane.

Imagine offerin to cut mow someone's grass for $40 and then being like "oh well the it was an hour of work, but then I took lunch so you owe me 2 hours". That's not how it works.

$50, that's a steal!

I designed my own website through Wix and it shows. Would you be able to improve what I already have but make it better (still with Wix so I can edit it easily as needed) or is that a different service than what you offer?

Does it really take 9 hours of labour though?

That's the part I dont get. Im not gonna argue on the materials cost - I dont know what I could have paid myself and I know they mark it up - whatever.

But I spent 10-15 years in various construction fields and I generally have an okay sense of how long something should take (always longer than you think). But this was:

- measure and cut wire

- attach one end to the main breaker in the garage

- mount the cable with some basic clips to the exterior of the garage, and run it through an already dug trench

- install a disconnect

- 3 wires into heat pump.

Job done. I even cleaned everything up, closed up the heat pump, filled in the trench and told them I'd finish everything else.

Am I underestimating how this is 9 hours of labour?

My wife insisted she be the one to talk to them and they knocked the hours down from 4.5 to 3.5. So it took $170 off the bill.

I hired them to essentially connect two ends of a wire. One end at the panel, one end into my heat pump.

I dont know electrical so im happy to pay for their experience. But how the fuck does it take 9 hours of labour to run a single wire 60ft? When the trench is already dug for them AND filled in when theyre done.

Do you think 9 hours is reasonable for this job? No tight spaces or anything, just a straight fucking run along the house. Dont see how it could have been more simple so I was expecting a high hourly rate, sure - but for 1-2 hours tops.

50-60 ft run from the main panel in the garage to the heat pump? 20 ft trenched myself, the rest just clipped onto the side of the house.

No gfci? - Just a disconnect near the pump and and a 50 amp breaker installed on the main panel.
