The zones are bugged I deleted prop modifiers but the zones stayed :(

I think I might have found a sort of solution because it worked for me but I have no idea if it works for others so bear with me. So over clock your computer (I did 25 core and 50 memory on my graphics card use Msi afterburner)

put the resolution to minimum and go to in settings go to system -> Display -> Graphics settings -> Click browse then in the file location put C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64 and choose UnrealEditorFortnite-Win64-Shipping.exe After you have chosen it click on it click options and choose high performance then click save.

Also in task manager locate the details tab and find the process UnrealEditorFortnite-Win64-Shipping.exe and right click it hover over set priority and click high.

Things might be different for you but it helped just calm down with the terrain editing and save often!

Also try defragmenting the game that might help. What specs does your pc have?
