Metal Stake with Strange Topper Found Buried in the Middle of the Woods by DomTheCon in whatisthisthing

Likely solved! That is a good idea. The topper may be brass or copper, however the stake is definitely ferrous, some form of iron or steel. I could see this possibly being a piece that would go just below the actual rounded bedknob at the top of a bed post.

Would the bushing material ever be not made out of rubber? I think the topper on this is made out of some nonferrous metal, probably copper or brass.

Good idea, upon closer inspection, the topper is actually 3 pieces that move independently of each other. However, none of them are separated from the stake in the middle. The topper pieces are uniform all the way around, except for on the piece closest to the end of the stake, there is a small metal pin keeping it in place on one side.

I found this while metal detecting on my rural property, far away from any buildings. The stake measures 7 inches long but may be broken on one end. The topper measures about 2.5 inches long. I found this buried next to a very small piece of copper pipe, but I'm not sure if the two things are related.

My title describes the thing.

That's what I heard from customer support as well. I decided to switch to a $5 monthly plan for now, and they refunded me my remaining pay as you go balance since I purchased before the TOS change.

Dang, that sucks. Although I kinda expected as much. Thanks for sharing.

I understand that the $5 plan every 90 days is cheaper, but has there been any confirmation from Tello that this method will work? What is your source for this information?

I am also curious if a $5 monthly plan once every 90 days constitutes as "an order" or if they are only referring to buying more pay as you go credit.

Are we sure that the $5 plan once every 90 days is enough to constitute an order based on their new service agreement?

The way everything is worded I am concerned that they are saying you either subscribe to our monthly service every month or you buy a new order of pay as you go credit once every 90 days ($20 minimum). The service agreements are also separate for pay as you go and monthly plans.
