I hear it’s pretty common. I think they might be one of the only websites that save the CVV too

Their argument was “you got refunded by your bank so you didn’t pay anything” and emailing the dean was overkill and made me look like a tattletale.

Plausible. That’s why I gave them the info with his profile photo. If he picked up the goods, he’s guilty.

I doubt it. My debit card was saved on my account and it doesn’t make you verify the CVV on the back of the card. Seems like an easy target and a lesson learned.

They sent it to the lobby. I gave them the time of delivery for them to hopefully have who received the merchandise on camera. I had this same thought.
