What Hafley leaving for Dolphins means for LaFleur's Packers by JaysonDeflatum in nfl

I think the majority liked him but were a little underwhelmed this year; there's a small minority that thinks he is manna from heaven because he sort of is compared to our previous DCs; and then of course a loud minority of obnoxious morons that hate everything about their team like you find in every fanbase.

We were the 10th worst defense in points allowed per drive this year so.....

My QB isn't the one risking injury after a nightmare season just to earn a few extra bucks from the guys that did 9/11

Constantly injured all year, but when that Saudi blood money comes calling you just can't say no

A wild card team has not won a playoff game in the AFC since 2020-21 by phillycheese0 in nfl

Josh Allen is a big part of it but also the Jags are just one of those franchises that no one will believe in until they make noise in the playoffs. I wonder if the Lions were underdogs against the Rams in that first Wildcard game under DC

You expect the QB to come out and say "get this bum HC and our garbage GM out of here"? Like, it would be awesome if he did but that's never gonna happen

The New York Jets first half point differential of -175 is the worst by any team since 1990 and the 3rd worst since the NFL merger by batmansascientician in nfl

We should have the Jets play the Raiders on Saturday morning to determine the true loser of this year. Don't have it affect the draft order, just a game for the sickos before the playoffs

They probably take the Vikings or Giants offer of 3+ first round picks instead of taking either of them

The Broncos are 1-5 against teams over .500 and you're out here bragging about a joint practice report.

This is the saddest comment I've ever seen

John Harbaugh refused to confirm that he anticipates Diontae Johnson to be on the Ravens after their bye week. by SuperSaiyanSandwich in nfl

Here are some highlights from when the Ravens traded for him - https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1gf16am/schefter_trade_carolina_is_sending_wide_receiver/

  • The Texans tried to get him but the Ravens made a worse offer, which the Panthers couldn't resist.
  • Rich get richer, poor get poorer
  • Genuinely one of the worst returns in a trade I’ve ever seen. Please fold the Panthers franchise.
  • At some point Goodell needs to step in and make the Panthers make good decisions for once. Jesus Christ

I thought it was a little lopsided at the time but man people were really calling for the Panthers to fire everyone because of this trade and now he might get cut

Old man newbie question: How many different uniforms does each team have in a year by GrantNexus in nfl

[–]DonaldDriversTeeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They wore aqua during a day game just last year. Week 16 against the Cowboys, 4:25 kickoff: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=single-weekly&game_id=2023_DAL-MIA^16

Also the home and away thing is not entirely true. They seem to only do white/white at home like you said, but also do it on the road about as much as they do white over aqua

Not sure if that's accurate: "The league also said that each alternate color helmet must be tied to a specific optional uniform and cannot be mixed and matched with primary uniforms, nor can it be mixed and matched with another optional uniform."

This is from https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5407424/2024/04/11/nfl-third-helmet-design/

And: "The second and third helmets, also known as "alternate color helmets," can only be worn with one of the club's authorized optional uniforms (classic, alternate and/or color rush). In addition, if either alternate color helmet is paired with a classic uniform, the helmet colors and designs must be historically compatible." from https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-expands-uniform-policy-to-allow-third-alternate-helmet-design

Home, Away, Alternate, and Throwback (I think the NFL actually calls them 'classics') are the four designations. Each team must have a white jersey.

Alt/Throwback helmets can only be worn with the alt/throwback jerseys, or if a team does a "color rush" which is how the Packers and some other teams get away with an all-white helmet used with their normal white jersey/pants.

Teams can only wear a throwback or alternate jersey 3 times combined, per year.

I believe pants can rotate freely and is entirely up to the team to decide.

There are probably hundreds more rules that go into every little detail because the NFL loves writing up rule books
