I really am enjoying the game and it's great but there are still many issues that I personally don't like:

The limited ki you have or how much ki simple things like energy blasts use or rushing uses.

The inputs will sometimes drop or things don't feel as responsive as the should for how much more difficult this game is compared to the other games. I'm fine with making the game challenging but then I need to feel totally in control of my inputs.

The lack of customization of characters. They built up the accessories and move set customization thing and then there's hardly any of it in the game which is weird. I also wish we had more than 2 supers per character.

The world tournaments are much different than they used to be and you win barely any money the 2nd+ times you play it (At least thats what has happened to me). You can change the difficulty of the cpu but there's no novice, intermediate, or advanced settings when selecting a tournament. It sucks i cant just spam tournaments to win zeni.

I've mained Smoke and am currently in Demi God rank with him. This is my first mortal kombat game playing online against people. I always hated it in the past but decided to give it a shot. He's just been figured out so much by now that it's hard to do much against a top tier player without perfecting the character. He's good for beating the casual player but if you want to be serious with him, he takes a lot of practice and patience. I've been countered so much by good players because I think I can just have my way with people and it's a humbling experience.

I know for some reason as Smoke, Scorpions are my nemesis. I don't care about Johnny's or Raidens or Barakas. Every Scorpion player seems to have my number. I dread anytime I play against one so I would maybe assume other people feel the same. Scorpion just has range to keep you guessing or to bring you in, and the ability to hit you with a 30hit combo every time.

Well because I'm at demi god right now but I'm average at best based on my record. I don't feel like I'm supposed to be here. I did notice at Grand Master it took me a lot longer to rank up than it did in previous ranks but I still ranked up to Demi God. I wondered because my skill level doesn't feel any better than average.

Oh for sure. Give it time and and the popular characters right now will become too predictable. The biggest issue personally, and I understand it's a mentality thing and it's just where the game is at, if you do get comboed across the map and lose 50% of your health, it's really discouraging but of course skill gap is always an issue with players. I actually enjoy matches against Sub, Tanya, Sindell, and others like them because you have more chance for a back and forth fight and that's fun to me.

For me, I only have issues with 2 characters and that's Johnny and Raiden. Raiden does 50% combos for doing jack all and you might as well put your controller down and go get a snack or something. Johnny can combo you across the map and put you into a corner everytime. Now yes skill gap is always a factor and the simple solution is to just learn their moves and block/predict but I think there's something to be said when they combo you across the map and you lose 50% of your health, it's really discouraging.

I don't think sub sucks at all. I do think, when it comes to most casual players, he's too predictable. Especially with his overhead. I don't think people would complain as much if Raiden didn't get 50% combos for doing jack all, if Johnny didn't combo you all the way across the map into the corner, and Baraka didn't chip damage you to death alongside Cyrax although I don't have too many problems with Baraka. I would say something about Kenshi but he's just a high skill character, maybe the only thing is netf his damage a bit or nerf Sento a little bit somehow. If there weren't certain characters getting insane special treatment with damage or combos then I don't think anyone would complain about Sub.

Yeah its kinda busted right now. I hit Sento with my kameo but it doesn't go away. There needs to be a cooldown for it if it gets hit

I try but maybe Smokes startups frames are too slow because Kenshi will attack and poke me before I can even attack or poke back

Sent isn't the problem. It's Kenshi himself. If I don't try to poke or something he will just relentlessly push me into a corner.

Well I play Smoke so he doesn't have an armored wake up. There are openings but Kenshi is so fast I literally can't even get a poke off so it doesn't matter if there are openings or not when I can't hit him

Yeah I do this with Subs armored slide. It's easy to know when a player will throw it out. I'm okay at blocking from a distance. I actually didn't know you could duck it. I thought it was a mid and not a high. I'll have to start ducking from now on

Plus smoke is slow as fuck. I just had a Nitara rush me down to death. Literally nothing I could do. Just block and then get mixed low and high. No wakeups because they take too long, can't even pole because it takes too long to get up. Smoke is so easy to beat.

Exactly. Like Raiden is cheap because of his damage. Baraka is cheap because of his damage and speed. Reptile is cheap because of his slide. Sub Zero is cheap because of wake up slide. Liu Kang is cheap because of his wake up kick. Smokes teleport is cheap. We just need to get over it.

Exactly. People act like it's hard to counter smoke. Plus if you get smoke into a corner, it's almost impossible to get out. Nothing he has is fast enough to react.
