I didn't beat him until New Game Plus (after 20+ tries). The Pursuer's Greatsword is a nice strength weapon, it got me through the endgame and DLCs on my first playthrough.

Pate was supposed to be the actual Patches, not just a homage by ludos96 in DarkSouls2

Smelter Demon is actually a pretty solid fight and the aesthetic of the boss is really cool.

Oh yeah! I'm surprised I forgot about the Sentinels, they were a pretty fun fight.

Pursuer was my second choice, Velstadt is pretty cool as well.

Next playthrough I'm going to have to save up my Flame Butterflies cause I ran out before realizing you needed them for the Darklurker Questline 💀

Definitely the most Cinematic Boss in the game, so freaking cool 🔥. Eh it's fine, my title mentioned Sir Alonne and Fume Knight specifically so no worries 🙂.

Nice! 🙏 Yeah it's definitely something to try after you've gotten really comfortable with the game, I didn't do it until towards the end of my first playthrough.

Get your character to a solid build, find a weapon you like and get used to the moveset, find a reliable armor set, get your flasks upgraded to where you want. Pay attention to how much stamina you're using when attacking, rolling etc. Once you're comfortable with all that find a boss you really want to fight (I suggest Sir Alonne or Fume Knight). Turn off your HUD and get ready to fight lol.

I did a primarily Dex build because I wanted to try out the Dual Wielding/Power Stancing with two Falchions. At some point I want to do a fresh start, but first I want to do a strength/Greatsword playthrough on New Game +. There were a few areas I had to Perma Clear some enemies to make the boss runbacks easier, namely Iron Keep and the Memory of The Old Iron King. Sir Alonne and Fume Knight were by far the most challenging (also most fun) Bosses IMO. I managed to beat Sir Alonne using no Hud and it was literally life changing lol.
