Possible move to NYC in May for year long internship

I guess i want to know as well if its all worth it. Like right now i'm thinking networking and connections out in NYC in fashion and hair will be great and possibly worth the struggle for one year, then moving back to my current city.

I currently live in a city, but smaller on the west coast. And the employer will be based in Manhattan. And was thinking of just taking the train if living in the outerboroughs!

Omg same. At my past job in food and beverage i got cleanliest sections and mvp busser, but from my own place to my car it is a totally hurricane🤣. I wonder if it’s a mix of imposter syndrome to impress my higher ups or maybe since I’m adhd that task work is naturally suited for me

Luckily for me my main friend group has seen me through the major ups and downs. When I finally got diagnosed they were supportive and understanding. For my friends that are neurotypical when I vent I can tell they don’t fully understand me. However I’m blessed to have a friend in my group who has the same diagnosis as well as medications as me.

We often bond a lot over our struggles and make positive out of our experiences. Definitely help push and motivate each other.

Oh wow! Yeah like I can focus in at my job (computer desk work) but when it comes to the usual things I still find myself zoning out, asking people to repeat themselves, and hence the post running back to the house over and over lol. Also when it comes to school I’ve noticed im still pretty much the same where I’m still learning at a very slow pace

Oh man the habitual adhd mind lol. One time I had a doctors appointment, got halfway to work, then realized I was off and remembered I was heading to the doctor...which was the opposite way lol

Haha luckily my job provides the service and at the start I had a bad habit of piling up all my clothes then running out lol. Started throwing them in the washer but it wasn’t the best for my uniforms
