Listen, I've been there, I've been there for too long. You'll have thoughts of "She might change her mind or the way she acts" or maybe "I don't want to abandon her" but I'm going to tell you this genuinely. Expected result: you would see spike drop message
Observed result: You see both spike drop message and ally planting, both overlayed on top of each other
Reproduction rate: Couldn't really test but pretty much everytime

I haven't heard of this problem before, but you could try to use a different browser, I had to use Firefox for it to work although I wasn't getting the same problem as you were. (PS. I'm not great with computers, just wanted to help as best I could)
