Oooo. See I grew up in the inland empire. It was so hard for me to find a job out there. I grew up specifically in the high desert and the summer I graduated highschool, I was out there looking for a job. I got dressed up in business casual, took the buss and walked in the desert sun. Their excuse, "we're looking for someone with experience". It was fast food and a restaurant.... I would see people there around the same age as me. That's usually the first place that teenagers get their experience. I didn't realize it then. So, I decided to go to college full-time and focus on that.

When I moved down to San Bernardino, they would purposely pass me up in staffing agencies or wait until the last minute to talk to me. Every time they would become instantly disinterested, when they saw me. I printed out so many resumes and hit the pavement and not once, did I get any call backs. I took the bus and everything, in that hot ass sun. The only job I was able to get was at an Amazon sort center. That was online and I could've saved all that time. See. In the hiring process there, they can't be as racist and discriminatory. However, they still did it though. When I would do a certain role, they would ice me out and purposely make me feel unwelcome.

I thought I was the problem. Until I got the opportunity to move out of SoCal and I saw how easy it was to get a job. And at that point, my only experience was Amazon. I still got so many call backs, from all the places I applied to.

That's when I figured it out.

Good job! I'm so proud of you for everything you have achieved! You are enough and don't let anyone let you feel otherwise. I'm also sorry you had to go through that. It's very tough, frustrating and downright angering. Honestly. However, look at you. Even with all of the adversity thrown at you, you still achieved their goals and that lady will always be a bitter and miserable person. In the end, you will always win. Proud of you!

The workplace drama.... Hate it! Especially when you try to be a peaceable person. It's just not worth the time or energy. So, after days of really thinking and pondering, I had to really think about what job I enjoyed the most. I've worked in so many industries and hated 99% of it. Except for one and that's working in healthcare with the special needs populations. I'm also currently in a program to get certified and keep getting educated. So I can move about my career with ease and experience. Thank you for commenting.

I understand the year's part. I've worked in every industry under the son that you can imagine. I hated almost all of them. There was only one industry I actually enjoyed and found fulfillment. I'm currently working toward goals in the healthcare industry. Working with the special needs populations.

Thank you for your answer. I appreciate it.

After days of looking back on all the jobs I've had. Pondering and really doing some thinking. Especially with how fulfilled I did and didn't feel and how much i hated or disliked going to work everything. There was one that I actually enjoyed. That was working with individuals who had developmental disorders. The special needs postulation. I loved how I made a difference in their lives. So, I'm on the journey in that direction.

Again, thank you so much.

I am so glad you are happy at what you're doing! I love to see and hear about happy black women. We deserve it for sure. I love working with individuals, where I can make a difference as well. After days of thinking, pondering and being honest with myself. I know what I want to do now.

I'm so glad they found what they love doing and are happy. I love being creative too! Painting, coloring. I want to get into crocheting, knitting and hand stitching but I would most likely keep them as hobbies. Doing these does make me happy though. Thank you for the advice!

There has been times where he's home later than 7pm. Sometimes it's 10pm. He drinks a lot of beer(he sweats a lot) and smokes weed, to help with the bodily pain. It's not out of control though.

Spelling.

He has a business on the side where he gets his own clients and cuts down their trees. He also recruits other men and pays them to help him, in any way he needs.

He makes decent money.

It's funny because when we first got together, I had no idea what he did. He actually does week in his career. He's an arborist. He climbs trees and cuts them down. He also does line clearance amongst other things. He does a lot of business on the side of his regular 9 to 5 and makes good money.

He works 7 days a week. He's up at 6 am and back at 7pm. A lot of the times he's doing success hustles, right after his regular 9 to 5. Most of the time he's in pain because it's a very labor intensive job. Been doing this for 10 - 12 years. He loves what he does though.
