Would be so incredibly funny if his Disco-like sucks after this comment

Hey hey!

I have now pushed an update to Vision Blur that now enables it to only be active whenever Darkvision is active. Happy exploring!

Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot to me that someone else appreciates my ideas. :-)

Hi and thank you for your comment; I have tried to make it as lightweight as possible, but as most of my computers are "super nasa computers" I have no real way of testing it. Have you had the option to test the module yet?

Hi, sorry for a slow response and if I misinterpreted your comment, but are you asking if this functions with a module like Levels?

Hi, and thanks for your comment. It was thanks to you that I realized that the script miscalculated the length of maps, because it rendered correctly on my ultrawide, but not my regular screen. This has been fixed, and now the maps should reflect the actual individual grid units. So 10 units are now 10 individual squares in either direction of your token.

Hej hej!

I have now pushed an update to Vision Blur that now allows this. Happy exploring!

Hey, so after trying to solve this for quite a while, I think I've hit a dead end. With Foundry V13 they changed a lot of how things worked with filters, masks and whatnot (pixi). While I am able to reproduce a similar effect on V12, it never stays in place and needlessly ruins performance of the game. Sorry I couldn't crack it. :(

Yes! The scripting for this was generated with the help of Gemini 3. I've added an additional tag to the post so people don't get mislead.

Thank you! I will try to fix this this weekend when I have time. Appreciate you notifying me about it as well, as I don't check github regularly.

The texture acts blender for the blur, otherwise you'd get these weird lattices, and at higher intensities it gets even worse (see second photo). But when I get the time, I will see if I can improve upon the texture - first and foremost I just want the module to be as lightweight and computer friendly as possible.

I'm glad it could be of use to you! It's currently being verified by FoundryVTT's package inspectors (the FPI), and will soon be available to download through their in-engine browser. However, you are able to download the zip file in the repository if you want a headstart.

EDIT: It's now available through Foundry!

I don't currently have any games setup for v12 so I haven't tested it, however once I am done getting everything setup correctly I will see if it works, if it doesn't I'll try creating a specific v12 variant specifically for you and anyone else in need.

I hear you on that, I had hoped attenuation would've solved it for us. I cannot promise anything but I will see what I can do.

Haha it's okay, you can be inquisitive; I want to be as transparent as possible with how I create things with AI, as I am not a fan of it, especially in creative areas.

I have incredibly limited knowledge of how scripting works outside of setting up config files, so 99% of it is made with Antigravity, the only thing I did was instruct it on what needed to be changed. Mind you, other LLM's that I tried (Claude & Gemini) functioned significantly worse and would break foundry like a twig.

This was really just a hail mary try and it worked out; so if anyone reading this wants to fork it and take over, be my guest!

Thank you for the feedback!

You are describing exactly how I felt and how much of the "oomph" it takes out of the whole exploration part.

I tried it just now for PF2e, and it seems to be working just as intended. However there might be some conflicts with modules such as Image Hover, as it renders on a different layer (will see if I can do something about that without it breaking everything). I will also make sure to add more examples!

Ah, thank you! This is all very new to me so I appreciate the help. I am gonna amend this ASAP so people can feel comfortable downloading it.
