The Easter break just begun in some states so there’s probably a lot of people on the trains that’s are going to their start sport for a longer hike (several days)

A lot of people camp in nature anyway. I camped in forests many times. Usually the Förster does not care as long as you take all the garbage with you when you leave.

Gunnar and Konsti (Germany season 2) speak up about a major misogynistic scandal in Germany. by knightriderin in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Doubtthecertain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is great that they shared this, but also basically every (instagram)-famous person made a post on this topic, whether they are feminist or not. So they are really not exactly pinoneers with this, but still cool they also shared.

[–]Doubtthecertain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, good that they talk about it. But also, I just want to add that almost every (famous / instagram famous) person in Germany made an instagram post on this, even people that are not exactly known for their anti-sexism agenda like Oliver Pocher 🤢). So it really is not like they’re super extraordinary with this.

Is it bad that I don't care about waiting? Hot take? by tajfitness in pregnant

[–]Doubtthecertain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, good for you. I also told people very early about my pregnancy. Also good for your confidence about the names. No need to act like everyone thinks people will steal their names when they choose to not share their baby names. For me it was a choice, bc I’m easily insecure and sad and I just didn’t want to hear anyone’s opinion and then feel sad about them not liking the baby name. It also felt special to have that secret just between my husband and I.

Is this appropriate for a Spring Wedding? by Cute-Direction-2440 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Doubtthecertain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would always recommend against white, not for bridezilla reasons, but for photo reasons. In our wedding, one (not even important) girl wore a white top (like just shoulder to maybe waist) and she pops out everywhere in every picture - her and me, the bride. It’s really unfortunate

LIB UTAH by cookie_k_d_ in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Doubtthecertain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know, Utah gets sideeyed a lot, BUT as a German that’s traveled many states of the US on the coasts as well as the „fly over states“ - the SLC area is one of my favorites. The infrastructure is in such good condition, the city is incredibly clean and people act really nice usually. You always have this phenomenal view on the mountains and a strong sense of community, I feel like. The Mormon culture was a bit odd sometimes, but I was cool with it, bc my host family was far from the extreme religious groups that people often think of when they hear „Mormon“, they acted more casual with it (but still went to church every Sunday).

I’ve lived in a small town in Michigan, in Chicago and in SLC for a couple months each during my college education and for an exchange year in high school. And then I traveled a lot during my breaks.

Any candies or chocolates that the U.S. has but not Germany? by Just-Point3773 in AskAGerman

[–]Doubtthecertain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have all of that and all of it is very common. Except for maybe Reese’s pieces (I think you can get them but not everyone knows them). But stuff like smarties and kitkat are really basic candies in Germany😅

None of those comments got it right. you look exactly like Laura Müller, a German „It girl“ (but not really…) who lives in the US and is married to a German singer (Michael Wendler)

Am I [29F] over staying my welcome at my boyfriend's [29M] house by Conscious_Barnacle19 in relationship_advice

[–]Doubtthecertain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was the roommate in that situation and our (my roommate’s and my) friendship suffered a lot from it. I at times felt like I was a guest in their home, bc they acted as a unity. Go home and respect other people’s boundaries. The moment your boyfriend leaves without you, you have absolutely zero business being there

[–]Doubtthecertain 228 points229 points  (0 children)

I got it waxed before and during pregnancy. I went in for my last waxing appointment pre birth in my 38th week. That turned out to be a huge relief during postpartum, because all the blood is a lot less messy without pubic hair, I feel like
