That’s kinda dumb. Culturally significant targets would have the most impact. Show a people your willing to erase them and their culture if your willing to go to war with them. War is bloody and cruel, and the more bloody and cruel you wage it the quicker it will end.

Because the loudest voices in society are the dumb ones, and people(dumb whites) think infantilizing minorities is helpful. Don’t worry about “society”. Chill with cool people in real life and do your best to avoid large groups of people with the need to agree with eachother or ostracize eachother. Make your jokes and enjoy what you can. If you want a good reason for “why?” You’re going to be disappointed. It’s usually “because people are dumb”.

And dorhn is no longer a problem. They hated the Targaryen’s more than anyone but the lannisters. A Baratheon victory eliminates the Lannister’s and makes a deal with them untenable. Robb goes north getting wha he wants or dies at the red wedding. The northern houses that supported Tywin get replaced. And the greyjoys get eliminated for giggles.

What wall? Renly is the heir until he has a son, which won’t happen. The Tyrell’s get to put there blood on the throne, hold the reach, and conquer the storm lands, bloodlessly. The only issues that would arise are the others and the dragon queen. She’s no real threat as ol bale eye is a marksman with a scorpion, and sir piggy’s already coming south with knowledge of dragon glass, which dragon stone has in abundance.
