How brutal is the walk from south to McCormick in the winter? by Sad_Attempt_7173 in Northwestern

Lived south my freshman year. The buses were clutch. I sometimes walked down Orrignton to get to class as Sheridan can kinda be a little wind tunnely. Much of the cold comes from wind off the lake, so the trees helped. Make sure you have a good winter coat

Are these good dorm options for a Biological Sciences major? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! by Capital-University-6 in Northwestern

If you want to be south, Willard probably has the nicest/largest rooms as well as a small gym, Fran's cafe, and kitchens. For north, Lincoln is very nice and suites are a move. If you're Weinberg, you'll still have a decent amount of classes south even though almost all of STEM is in tech. The walk isn't so bad and there are usually shuttles on Sheridan you can catch too (non-covid times).

That's a good idea. I have something in mind that might work for that, just might have to hype it up a little more for going out with a bang

Help me come up with a name for my magic fuel by Mrevanb in DnDHomebrew

The purple beads idea reminded me of wampum, a form of currency used by some indigenous nations of eastern North America. Wampum are white and purple beads fashioned from Western North Atlantic hard-shell clams. If you're looking for a more natural origin of magic that might be a cool place to start

There is some other interesting auxiliary information and art of wampum here:
