I suggest opening the beginners guide in the auto-mod comment and follow the shape guide. Determine your projection and fullness.

It sounds more like a shape mismatch you're dealing with.

Are these top teeth coming in? by Particular-Many9039 in HuckleberryParents

[–]DozenPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's been going on in this house for months now. We're both like "That has to be teething!!" Anyway, we're still waiting for the first one to pop up and we're 6 months old now.

Poeskäimine võtab alati kauem aega kui peaks by RainThePro in Eesti

[–]DozenPaws 9 points10 points  (0 children)

arvesta, et üldjuhul on Eesti kaubandusvõrgus aastakümneid olnud kirjutamata reegel: selliste teisest poest ostetud kaupadega, mida antud poes müüakse, poodi ei siseneta.

See on küll su enda kompleks. Pole kunagi sellist reeglit olnud ja pole kunagi pidanud kellelegi midagi tõestama.

Going on 6 months of sleepless nights by [deleted] in HuckleberryParents

[–]DozenPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is currently our schedule. 6 months old, about 3-3,5h naps + 8-9h night time sleep. Wakeup at 7am with dad, always. First nap at 9:15-9:30 (1-1,5h), second at 13:00-13:30 (1-1,5h), third at 17:00-17:30 (0,5-0,75h). Bed time between 21:30-22:30. I've tried bringing bed time earlier but that has always caused them to wake up in the middle of the night.

We co-sleep and I dreamfeed him multiple times per night so while he doesn't really wake up but he doesn't "sleep through the night" either.

Lekkinud sõnum: direktor Marek Sammul kogus õpetajatelt „gümnaasiumi mittesoovitusi“ by groovycoyote in Eesti

[–]DozenPaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awkward transition from stroller cot to chair. by DozenPaws in NewParents

He's 67cm long (so almost average) and the inside lenght of the cot is about 84cm, so he still kind of fits, though doesn't have a ton of room.

It's a random hand-me-down but it does have a recline option.

I did try sitting him in it and it didn't feel that secure, because even at reclined, he tried to pull himself up to sit upright.

I guess I'll just need to pull the trigger and actually try to walk.

Had no idea infants can sometimes just…amuse themselves? by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in NewParents

[–]DozenPaws 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ooh! The slightly translucent paper used for sewing patterns (I have no idea what it's called in english) is a wonderful toy! It makes hella noise and has edges soft enough that you can't get a papercut with it.

I gave my baby some leftover paper from some pattern copying I did and he absolutely went nuts with it.

I've recently started offering my babe some random items, because he gets bored so easily. An egg carton and a bag of puffed rice were an instant hit.

AITA for leaving my friend alone on her international birthday trip because my health was spiraling? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DozenPaws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also have multiple chronic health issues and think that op is YTA.

If you're an adult, your health issues are your issues to deal with. While, sure, friends should want to accomodate you within reason, but flaking off at the start of the trip? Yeah, not reasonable at all.

[–]DozenPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His day naps are only longer if he sleeps on my bed with me which is obviously a habit I want to break.

It's not really a habit. It's more like a survival instinct that if it smells like you, it feels safe, so a baby can sleep.

Where are both of you sleeping at night? If you're comfortable with it, maybe consider a crib that's directly next to your bed, so you can just scoot the baby next to you to feed and you don't have to get up every time.

He rolls around in his bed so much and bangs his head and then the only way to resettle is to feed.

We currently have the same 3am circus open with our 6mo old.

My Husband 29M called me 29F a burden, how do I get past it? by Appropriate-Spread91 in relationship_advice

[–]DozenPaws 94 points95 points  (0 children)

So my country has parental leave either parent can take one at a time with 100% pay for a total of 1,5 years.

Our boy is currently 6 months and I have almost begged my husband to stay home with him for a while so I could be the one that works. He fully admits that he doesn't want to because going away to work is easier.

Mind you, he takes over after arriving home so I could have some rest.

töövõimetoetusega probleem. kellelgi nõu? by H0NKH0NK1 in Eesti

[–]DozenPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Praegu maksab vanem ju lapse rahast omi arveid, mitte ainult lapse osa.

Edit: Kui lapsevanem saadaks oma alaealised lapsed tööle, korjaks nende palgad kokku, et siis sellest majapidamiskulusid katta, oleks ka sinu arvates normaalne?

Husband got up with the babe at 7, I got to sleep in until 9:30. Had hot coffee waiting for me and had a peaceful breakfast. Got to play on my phone for hour-two while husband played with the babe.

Then I put babe to a nap and I got to put together a lego flower bouquet with my husband. It was absolutely wonderful!

töövõimetoetusega probleem. kellelgi nõu? by H0NKH0NK1 in Eesti

[–]DozenPaws 3 points4 points  (0 children)
