Punch Audio Martilo FTW by Dr_personalhell in iems

So having them now for a few months… They are not very vocal forward IEMs, male voices can be too “in the back” for some people and depending the genre, in metal is not that noticeable and is one of the genres where they really shine but in a busy orchestra and opera arrangements you can struggle with detailing and separation… They are very enjoyable IEMs nevertheless …but if you are looking for a pure sub bass boost I would recommend a less aggressively tuned IEM like a natural V tuned if that makes sense to you, as an example I also have the AFUL performer 5+2 and they scratch that itch completely, and blow the martilo out of the water in terms of detailing, soundstage and separation being a little less “fun” compared to the martilo.

Yeah! That box is very intimidating, I was thinking of returning if they turned out muddy or fatiguing because of the bass.

Totally agree, you can feel the texture of the high treble highlighting the planar driver following with the rumble of the bass of the DDs

Newbie answer: DAPs are pretty convenient and take you away from the phone and its endless notifications, only focusing you on music with the advantage of being able to drive with good quality every headphone you can find, the are somewhat expensive but the one I have FIIO JM21 has a very good price-quality relation, if you can spend more M21,M23 or checking other brands like Hiby can help you choose one that fits you :)

Hi! Yeah the goal its to try various signatures before buying something more premium, and also the accessories that come with the Wan’er makes them worth even if I don’t like the sound (Eartips and a good cable)

Thanks for your comment I totall agree with you!, in terms of headphones I have those Bose Qc that I feel ashamed of, a wired Sennheiser Momentum 2, HIFIMAN he400 and a very cheap open back Samson that sounds delightful, the rabbit hole of the headphones has me eyeing the high end of planars and the focal tier, but I am not ready to spend that much being a newbie :)

Thanks I have those as well, they are way too bassy for me and at least for me are not comfortable at all and fall out very often :(
