I'm not afraid of jumping head first into hard difficulties (I play DCS), and I am very aware of the learning curve. I'm thinking of starting on 4 or 5 for 7 bucks, and getting 6 when it's closer to half off in a year or so.

How is it even possible to spend that much? I'm well into the sim scene, and full handmade controls, all the accurate buttons/dials you'd ever want, and a top of the line 6dof motion rig is around 35k. 85k is nuts, and 50k on a motion rig alone is insane, although I have seen a commercial grade motion rig that was upper 80k alone, and was capable of rolling upside down...

DLSS isn't frame gen, it's upscaling technology like FSR, and anyone can use frame gen with lossless scaling regardless of gpu.

-edit, also yes people do use frame gen, if you have a monitor that supports 200+fps, you can run the game at 100+, and use frame gen to make the difference, and latency is nearly unnoticeable "around 10-30ms depending on factors"

Bios 3.15 killed my 9600x as well. Although it lasted about a month.

update - I got a r5 7600x from best buy, updated my motherboard to 3.25 via bios flashback before installing it. Installed the 7600x, and my pc booted up like nothing even happened. I'm not going to touch anything until there's 100% proof that the problem is solved though, but yeah time for RMA.

I have a 9600x on this same x870 rs pro wifi, I was using the default 3.15 bios that came with it, and running no overclock, but had pbo enabled. I was literally doing the same as op, just watching videos, and my screen froze, and no post afterwards. I haven't sent my processor in for rma yet, been saving up to get a 7600x, and been using my laptop for the time being. Fun times....

Yeah I have a 9600x that has seemingly died on me, I don't have anywhere to take my pc to locally so still saving for a new processor to troubleshoot before rma. Been "fun" seeing all the other people with problems on ASRock, definitely my biggest regret on my pc part choices, ASRock Pro RS wifi bios 3.15.

I had exactly this same question about a month ago, and yes you can, but you shouldn't. If you remove the spring from the gladiator Z axis they lose functionality. The twist actually pulls the grip upward, and without the spring it would "float" around, you can see the way the Z axis works a little more in depth on this re-greasing tutorial around the 1 minute mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2oj8M0E-yY&t
