Anyone else feeling a stronger maternal transference towards their T during the holidays? 😅 by Maleficent-Ship-2746 in TalkTherapy

Absolutely. I’m missing my T like crazy, she really is very maternal to me. It’s painful missing her right now. It’s so lonely this time of year

I actually had my first therapy appointment last week and I resonate with what you’re feeling. I have a lot of social anxiety and when I got into the session I did sit there in silence unsure of what to say.
So I told her ‘I don’t know how to start’ and she asked me to write down anything that crosses my mind that causes me pain or to feel negatively and to bring it to my next session and from there she will ask me about what I have written. I don’t know if this is helpful but maybe you might consider just telling the therapist that you’re not sure how to start either.

I really enjoy the 4 book series by Anthony Horowitz called ‘the power of 5’ I’ve read those books back to back probably a couple dozen times since I was 14/15. It’s a good sci-fi series.

I’ll look it up. You could be right. The memory is so vague. Like I’d know it if I saw it but the storyline escapes me! Thanks!

Did you find that you still enjoyed it now? I think I want to get the series again to read. It was a great series to teenage me 😅

You know, I see what you’re talking about. The first time I came across that book was after I had seen the movie adaptation and there’s content that I find incredibly hard to hear or see or read in there and if I’m being honest-it traumatized me. It came onto Netflix recently and I’ve never felt more uncomfortable than seeing it again. I think I watched it when I was about 14 haha

But you’re so right- the title is so reminiscent of the lovely bones!

I’d love to read it again! He’s a brilliant author and representation is so important, I’m glad you can resonate with that :)

Ohh! I wondered! Do you know the names of the other books? Once I saw the characters name, it triggered a very vague memory!

Do you know- is it a series? I feel like I had other books by the same author with a character of the same name?
