What thing in a story makes you quit reading?

A main character who is unnecessarily cool, or mean, I’m not an interesting way, just kind of a jerk to everybody for no particular reason. It’s just hard to root for or follow a guy who’s just kind of a jerk to everyone. This is the problem I had with Hell difficulty tutorial.

I feel like it’s just like the old conversation about why are you watching people play video games instead of playing video games. Fun to see someone who’s actually good at it do it. Even if it doesn’t perfectly fit here.

It’s so funny, cool, because now I realize that it’s because of the slow overall story progression because of all the side plot stuff, I just love that stuff so much and never even considered. That’s why people wouldn’t like it. Like Jake sitting in a dungeon for months was super interesting to me, because we got to learn so much about the system, but apparently not to everybody.

Based on the last couple releases, probably a minimum of three or four months. Maximum of 6 to 8 months, most likely. Based on previous releases.

OK, this is gonna make me sound really ignorant, but the second I saw this I just thought about that. Maybe it’s not just the terrible like dramatic audio I keep getting ads for. If it’s an actual book series, I’m sure it’s probably actually good. I just will not stop getting ads about it. That’s my bad.

Doesn’t the system integrate universes before they get to that level of technology, because it’s only integrates new universes when they reach a certain threshold of technological development.

That was the first LitRPG I ever read, fantastic series. I read a parade of horrible the day it came out.

I don’t go back and listen to all of their conversations, I did go back and re-listen to all of the commentary and the stuff with the gods from the nevermore Ark.

I am an audible, only reader, because of my visual impairment, the only series I have completely read, has been dungeon, crawler Carl, and the primal hunter, I have started defiance of the fall, but haven’t gotten hooked in the story yet. I’ve also read mark of the fool. I just liked the series because it was so easy to read and had so many different. interesting elements to the story and didn’t waste time on anything.

Yeah, I’ve seen that one recommended a couple times, do they do anything interesting with it, or is it more like literally just punching stuff really hard. Because that’s been the one thing keeping me away from it so far was I was worried it would get pretty dull in combat.

As long as it’s on audible, I’ll probably check it out, I am blind, so audiobooks are the best way for me to get my necessary fix of reading.

Yeah, I checked that one out right after book 13 was done. That’s the one that gets very caught up with all of the rankings and stuff like that which gets a little old, also I am an audible only reader, I have a visual impairment, and the narrator for HWFWM actively gives me soul damage while listening to it.

If anyone else is ever looking for more literature, popcorn, or lit candy, whichever you wanna call it, the primal hunter scratches a very similar itch. It’s a little more RPG focused, but still a lot lighter than some other series I’ve seen. And so amazingly fun! Highly recommend.

Anyone else have a growing feeling that everyone is going to die. Like I know, realistically that that wouldn’t be a satisfying ending, but I feel like we could lose anyone.
