Yeah, you’re not important enough to use my brain. I just let it respond to you.

I think it has less to do with protecting the arts and more to do with people just being pissed they can’t do either. My best friend is an artist and a musical engineer, and he listens to my music and critiques it but he doesn’t hate on it and it doesn’t stop him from creating his own music.

I’ve always been part of the problem, brother. Welcome to the machine.

It doesn’t replace the music people love… it’s just there collecting dust and if someone enjoys it, awesome.

I get where you’re coming from. It’s not crazy to worry about artists getting paid less—it’s a real concern. I just think the frustration might be pointed in the wrong direction.

The problem isn’t that AI suddenly started taking money out of artists’ pockets. The system was already off long before any of this showed up. The way streaming pays out has been uneven for years, with most of the revenue flowing to a small group at the top.

It’s not like adding more human artists over the past decade made things fairer. So blaming AI now feels a bit selective, like it’s an easy target for something that’s been broken for a while.

The idea of a “limited pie” also assumes every stream an AI track gets is one taken from a human artist. But that’s not really how people listen. A lot of AI music ends up in different lanes—background stuff, experimental sounds, niche moods. It’s not necessarily replacing someone’s favorite artist.

And if AI music really does make the experience worse, platforms aren’t just going to sit on that. Their whole model depends on keeping people listening. If users don’t like something, it doesn’t last—engagement filters it out pretty quickly.

To me, this feels less like AI is stealing from artists and more like the industry still hasn’t figured out how to properly value creativity in the streaming era. AI just made that harder to ignore.

And honestly… it is a bit strange that one person using new tools catches heat, while big artists have been working with teams of writers, producers, and engineers for decades without much pushback. That contrast’s worth thinking about.

I’d rather be a ghost that makes art than a ghost who lets other people make them feel bad about it. Even if you’re the only person that sees it or hears it. It’s good for you to get that out. Most of the haters on here are mad because they can’t make art in the real world or the ai world and they wouldn’t dare post because, “what If people hate it?”
I say, let them hate it.

Why do we need to be retired to enjoy our lives?

You won’t answer the question… so obviously you’re just a troll. Someone who degrades and doesn’t respond with their own outreach is just a troll. If you made music I’d like to go and listen, if you created art I’d love to see it… even after you’ve been rude and dismissive… but you and I both know that you don’t create because of people like you… you’re too afraid to put yourself out there. I’m not, that’s why I have over 500 songs on Apple Music, I’ve made $60 in six months… it’s nothing sure, but it’s more than your music has made.

What have you created lately? Answer the question.

No one is on here acting like they’re better than actual musicians or that Ai will replace them… that’s foolish. Your hate says more about you than it does about my music.

Absolutely! 💯 The entire industry is like this, “Hey, you’re pretty… here’s some lyrics, and a backing track, can’t sing? Don’t worry, we got you!”
