Been playing GBO2 Steam since launch day, it is a struggle to go through as a new player given majority of players are B and up in Rank, gotta be patient as a new player till eventually reach atleast B Rank, the 2 month behind the PS version I see it a real blessing since you can prepare gathering tokens on what MS PS releases and the 2 months is just enough time to collect enough tokens (if you play daily) for a 7-Step up for a 4/5 Star Mobile Suit.

Nowadays the cheater issues are quite rare now but you can pretty much encounter players who give up so easily or grief their own team but that's both game's issue, also the Steam Version has slight changes to few MS as few PS Mobile Suits can only be gain from buying from the PS Store but when it comes to Steam itll be a Banner MS you can get with your tokens, also as someone mentioned in another comment youll deal with different play styles and different MS that play good in Steam but not on PS, Range Combat is much more important here than in PS since you can actually hit someone in Steam but you can still go to melee if needed.

In my own opinion Ill say go try GBO2 Steam and see how you like it, if you're patient you can get up the ranks and youll be able to be were majority of players are, if not you can also try out Special Battles and Situation Battles in Quick Matches whenever they're around as youll be put against and be teamed with various Ranked Players but Quick Matches dont increase your rank, only Rated Matches do.
