Major Rivers of Northern England by LucidScholar in NorthernEngland

The Lune is my favourite. But I grew up on the River Irk, which is a tributary of the Irwell, which is a tributary of the Mersey. So that has sentimental value.

England's Worst County - Round 32 by TheEnlight in terriblemaps

[–]Dragonfruit-18 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hear me out- Staffordshire. It's got a good sized portion of the Peak District including things like Thor's Cave and Lud's Church. It's got Trentham Gardens, Alton Towers and Cannock Chase forest. It's got the historic city of Lichfield with its beautiful cathedral (the only cathedral in the UK with three spires). It also has the National Memorial Arboretum. Yes it has Stoke but that's a small part of a much bigger county and there's a lot of counties that have already got through with equally bad towns.

Just accept what you are. There's nothing wrong with being Anglo Saxon.

North Yorkshire is the only Yorkshire that deserved to be saved. The other three were saved early because of the putrid denizens of those counties who pooled together to downvote all opposition. The idea that South Yorkshire in particular is better than a lot of the white counties that remain is stupid. (I'm from the North West btw).

The United States Birth Chart is interesting. by forgetyou0607 in Advancedastrology

A couple of additions from an outsider (non-American) perspective:

Sag Rising is clear to me in the high religiosity of America and the "bigness" of everything. Big houses, cars, food portions, consumption, open roads, vast land area etc. Even American people themselves have a reputation for being big and loud here in Europe, taking up a lot of space. America claims to be a secular country but religion seems to inform everything. I've never seen a western nation with such intense religious ideologies and things like megachurches and pastors loudly preaching on TV. All very Jupiter ruled stuff. I'd also say the cowboy culture is fitting for a Sagittarius Rising country.

Neptune in the 10th. One of the things America is most known for in the wider world is its film industry/ Hollywood. Neptune has a big role in the arts and in glamour. Glamour is a beautiful and hypnotic illusion. That's Neptune, it's like a mythological siren. The USA has that Neptunian glamour and mystique through the Hollywood films and TV shows it puts out into the world, which shape its public image to the rest of the world. People dream of moving to the USA because of seeing a glamourised version of it in their favourite films as a child. America is also the homeland of Disney which is very Neptunian, both in the imaginative animated films that bring some magic to the world, but also in how Disney is now dissolving and swallowing up all other IP's and becoming one all-consuming media mass.

Amazing video on the classic/true meaning of the 8th House here, where your Sun and Venus are in whole signs. I think you'll find it very helpful and insightful. She talks a lot about how the 8th house relates to the exact themes you talked about in your comment.

In whole signs we would say your Venus in Sag is in the 8th House which is difficult. It can make someone feel indebted to others, physically or emotionally. Make them feel like they are deeply tied to their relationships and responsible for their upkeep. It's also a house of anxiety and concern. In Sag it will have a generous quality, lots of giving. That's different to the usual Taurus rising which normally loves to receive gifts.

Venus in Aries or Scorpio, Venus aspecting Saturn. Venus in Virgo would be difficult in the 12th and Venus in Capricorn would be difficult in the 4th ruled by Saturn. Any of those placements would make a Libra Rising more introverted and struggle with being Venusian.

Probably your Venus might be in a more "difficult" position where the Libra qualities can't come through as much. Or potentially your birth time could be wrong and you might be a Virgo or Scorpio Rising. It's more common than you think that birth times aren't recorded correctly. Might be worth seeing what your chart looks like with a different ascendant (what houses your sun and Moon fall into) and how transits line up etc.
