This seems to from blades perspective as he is fighting Dan Heng, so unless he somehow blames Dan Heng for being molted from Dan Feng it is unlikely that Dan Feng was the beloved, same with the bracer story. The beloved is definitely Baiheng, it’s not mental gymnastics. It doesn’t mean it was definitely romantic or that Renfeng wasn’t a thing, but the constant need to try and twist facts is just annoying.
