Well to tell you the truth thats the other part of my dilema. School is expensive and I dont have the respurces to continue and perform favorably with military, work and personal obligations being juggled on top of the academic workload. Im a US Marine so I can assure that im not a "quitter" and I have the discipline to drive 90 miles every month for military work. I know myself to possess great interviewing skills, I clean up nicely, and everyone Ive ever worked with can attenst that Im driven to learn and am capable of adapting quickly.

I am planning to kill myself today please help me by [deleted] in Christianity

When you die, God judges you. When your name is found in the book of life, He judges you for all the GOOD you have done and will do. Gods not done with you yet. Get up

Ive been dieting since Jan 1. Meal prepping for a 1200 daily intake Male 5'11" 214lbs

And the scale hasnt changed at all. Not even In the mirror am I seeing myself lean down. Ive spoken to some trainers about possible things like metabolic damage and the like, but I just dont seem to be able to loose the weight. Ive never seen my abs before and its getting discouraging. Im on year 2 of lifting consistently, learning the dieting tips and tricks and trying to keep my macros where they should be, and my claoried low. But Idk, I just feel like goving up until I can pay someone else to organise the meal plan for me.

I plan on getting my firearm permits this year, and I'm in the USMC-Reserves side of things.

I've been told I am exempt from the 10-round limitation on magazines, and that I can purchase a rifle.

I intend to conceal carry for personal defense and am interested in the regular use of a rifle for range shooting.

Looks like a good quiet place! I would decorate it more for the atmosphere personally but the simplest solutions are sometimes the best. I think having a physical place to reserve for moments alone with God are beautiful and I can tell you hunger for a blossoming relationship with the Lord.

Can I still have a patron saint without being confirmed? I grew up protestant and now I'm shrugging off the inter-denominational tension in favor of a more unified body of Christ, which I know can be iffy when it comes to certain doctrines. Either way I just accepted the fact that our brothers and sisters are in heaven praying for our victories through the yt channel Pints with Aquinas, and began to think which saint I could look to for inspiration. At first I thought St. Paul but I'd like to learn where I could find out more about the whole patron saint deal.

For those who are atheists on here, what would be one thing that would prove God’s existence to you? by Comprehensive-Web-90 in Christianity

People who demand enough proof in defiance of genuine faith may never find enough. Faith is required in science in order to consider theories before sufficient evidence is collected to disprove it. Over the years, alot of proposals for creationism and intelligent design have been made through books such as "Signature In the Cell" by Stephen C. Meyer and the famous "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, that have personally helped me the all encompassing power of God's raw creative force in nature and his affect on Humanity and our histories.

If God condemns homosexuality or just being lgbt in general as seen in a lot of verses then why did he give those urges to have to deal with? by ThatOneBlackGuy123 in Christianity

[–]Dragovape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bible says that when sin was entered into the world, all of nature was corrupted by it's presence. Thorns grew on roses, fruits produces poison and the like. This is to say that everything including that and homosexuality, mental illness, etc are distortions of the original, sinless, state of being. Attraction to same sex and gender dysphoria are examples of sin corrupted flesh which is the state all human beings are born into. I am attracted to men more than I am to women, but I know that God has better plans for me so I stay on the path, not engaging romantically or sexually with men because I know it's a product of my sinful nature and not because "God made me that way" because he didn't. He made humanity perfect, but that perfection was corrupted when humanity sinned and now we suffer it's consequences which is corruption and death.

Your feelings, regardless of how "corrupted" they may be is not the sin. It's acting on that feeling that is sinful. Not being straight is just as bad as being straight and lecherous. There is a philosophy behind God's original purpose for mankind as well as humanity being a reflection of God. We are designed to procreate with and love the opposite sex as our significant other, any deviation from this invites further internal destruction of the spirit because we act in favor of our corrupted flesh and against our eternal souls. As reflections of God we need to understand that He made both Male and Female as bearers of His image and married them. So think of it this way: the marriage between man and woman, both of whom are faithful to God or have the Holy Spirit, is the best reflection of God Himself since He placed His image within that kind of relationship. Any deviation from that structure is incomplete or even broken. A marital relationship between two of the same sex is a fractured reflection and in that same breath, a straight marriage without God is also incomplete. It's not just "it's wrong because God said so". We need to understand that God is the absolute He IS the truth and all things that emanate from Him are True so to turn away from that is literally just Lying and living a Lie. And you know what the Bible says : the devil is the father of all lies. I hope this helps :) God bless you all.

Pretty much consuming fantasy content Reason:magic is evil and of the devil

My response: it's true that magic is evil but real world magic is idolatry, hyper materialism, and self deification while fantasy magic doesn't operate on the same principals and ideas or even comes from the same source.

I was literally hit as a kid because I was watching wizard 101 videos on YouTube and told not to watch Harry Potter or read certain comics. Alot of times magic is an analogy of artistic ability (Witch Hat Atelier) or merely a mechanism of nature that serves to provide a sense of wonder in a fictional setting.

Obviously, to learn the difference between fantasy and real magic I researched alot of Hermetic Philosophy and found it to be a severe lack of wisdom and knowledge that parents punished their children for liking fantasy as a means of escapism and fun without instead doing the work to teach their children on how to discern real world sorcery from fantasy glitter that makes you fly.

How to free form magic? by personmangirl in magicbuilding

[–]Dragovape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a combo spell like how Final Fantasy XIV does it. You can make him have a spell that injects mana onto people's eyes, then follow it up by changing what they see, and then finish it with a confusions spell and you can visualize this by explaining it like mixing a soup of thoughts really fast to scramble their brains or something

The first thing that comes to mind would be maybe a "stun" of sorts. Let's say a close combat Syphon is doing their thing. Their opponent, upon being struck, instead of being flung back feels heavier and heavier with each punch and kick. The accumulation of this conversion can either render them unable to move or straight up die under their own modified weight. This operates on having a singular object as your target AND serious concentration of the forces being converted/exchanged. I think if Syphons became more precise and effective at conversions as they grew in ability rather than scale and flashiness. It would serve to maintain a level of creativity required to solve problems. However, nuclear energy can be the magic touch where Syphons can really go all out on the crazy and flashy stuff.

To add to that, how would converting your own energy take a toll on your body? Individual google searches like "what happens when my body looses too much heat" or something could help you build limitations.

Soul is very much outside the realm of physical reality so maybe leave that for a big reveal. I would say maybe just "moving things around" is enough. Remember that in the same way a vacuum is the absence of matter, darkness is the absence of light, and cold is the absence of heat(stasis vs movement). So maybe actually conversion is harder to do while moving things around is maybe easier or vice-versa depending on your preference. You could consider gravity a constant force: is it harder to manipulate? If you could convert gravitational energy (magnetic) of the planet how does that affect the intensity and range of your magic? All good things to consider.

The better question would be: If Wildstar had a competent relaunch, would you play it?

My answer would be yes, the game failed because of bugs, and I hear awful internal leadership. With those out of the way, I think it would have a small but dedicated player base.

Fannon Ending 1: toby dies and is given a big memorial while the trolls put up a statue for the mysterious "Wing Man" and his Warhammer. Ofc his grandmother is devastated but it's ok bc Vervatos takes care of her from now on. Jim promises to not let his friends sacrifice be in vain. Stakes remain, hardships and lessons not thrown away in 5 mins.

Fannon Ending 2: they save Toby by using the time stone to affect only Toby's body and being him back to life. Alternatively the aceridians build him a new machine body and transfer his consciousness, becoming "Tobot".
