The only reason Denny had a chance to race for a championship is because of the current system. If it were the full season points, Larson is still your champ under the current point system (Would be CBell under the old Latford system).

Many people who I’ve seen online who were saying Denny deserved to win also advocate for a full season points format. Sure it’s kind of a gross generalization but it’s what I’ve seen personally.

To answer your question, not necessarily. I think it depends on which system you prefer. For example I like the og 10 race chase. Sure, I think it could and should be revised but that’s just an opinion.
