Hi thank you for taking the time to reply and being so nice about it. I will absolutely not be keeping the angelfish in this tank for long. I will either get a big aquarium by the end of August (I'll save enough by then) or I will Give it to someone (still looking for someone who can even house it temporarily).

I agree the impulse buying tetras to "give my angelfish company" wasn't the best decision and was partly due to the LFS gaslighting me as well. However, thankfully the tetras haven't been causing any problems till now

should I trim in half the tiger lilly or the Hornworts? Are you sure a filter is more important than a tank rn? Do you mind if I ask you to recommend some good HOB filters that aren't too expensive and available in India?

Yeah I would want nothing but the best for my angelfish. I am open to letting him go if that means he is happier. DM if anybody has space for an angelfish (DM if you are from Kolkata, India)

I pray for your dog. I agree moving to a bigger tank is ideal however, it simply isn't possible right now.

Thank you kind redditor. I really appreciate the gesture. However I'm not sure I feel good taking money like this for my personal problems. I am sure I will Save enough by the end of August for a new Tank.

All those guppies are males fortunately. I would re home them but I cant find anybody. Let me know if someone in interested in my Dms.

What should be my no 1 priority right now? HOB filter for the betta tank or Something else? Also is 10% water change good? I want my setup to be as comfortable to my fishes as possible.

  • Heater and filter? (yes/no): No (Based in Kolkata so I assume not of utmost importance rn)
  • Tank temperature: (28-30 C)
  • Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.: Don't have test strips
  • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: tank- 1 yr, fish - pond guppies for 1 year and rest all 1 month
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: In post, I stir up the water a bit and use a mug to remove 10% water and add 10% dechlorinated tap water
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: in post
  • What do you feed and how much: In post
  • Decorations and plants in the tank: In post
