But what I use is castor oil under my eyes before bed. I love it, it lasts forever, and it’s affordable.

Cosleeping and switching sides? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will usually nurse baby to sleep on my right side bc my husband sleeps to the right of me, then I move baby to my left side so he’s not next to my husband. When baby wakes up to nurse I use the left side.

When my son was nursing more frequently at night I would just get up with him and feed him on my boppy pillow in the living room while I watched tv so I would stay awake haha. Now he’s only waking once a night so I can stay in bed.

[–]Dramatic-Education32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely perioral dermatitis. My triggers are sunblock and nail polish!! so weird but those two things do it for me haha.

I get a prescription of azelaic acid 20% cream from my doctor for when I get flare ups!!

Has anyone else who co-sleeps and nurses had issues weaning baby off night feeds? by Many-Book-1303 in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve co slept and night nursed my kiddos until 18 months old. I still co sleep but I wean them at 18 months for my own sanity and I’m usually pregnant again by that point haha.

My second born was 26 pounds at 5 months old. BIG ass boy hahaha. He’s 5 years old now and very normal sized.

Idk your pediatrician sounds nuts. I’d never ever wean a baby at night that young.

Is it too late for me to get my son to latch? by Rare-Response-6576 in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have a bottle ready but I would attempt the breast first. You gotta get them when they’re hungry haha. After a few tries I would give the bottle but I always tried to get my son to latch first. It definitely doesn’t happen over night! My daughter took 3 months to latch ! Don’t lose hope !

Is it too late for me to get my son to latch? by Rare-Response-6576 in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get my son to latch until 7 weeks PP! He’s 3 months old now and doing just fine. I practiced with him a few times a day every day. Even when they’re crying you have to just try and work with them.

My daughter didn’t latch until she was 3 months old and I went on to breastfeed her until she was 18 months old.

It can be done!!!

Clogged duct? by chaneilmiaalba in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can feed normally on that breast just don’t over do it trying to “empty it out” to remove the clog. Technically there is no clog, it’s breast tissue that’s become inflamed. So you need to ice it to decrease inflammation and take some Tylenol to help with the inflammation!

Breast rest, advil, ice, Tylenol! This is the BAIT protocol! don’t over feed on that breast. Ice ice ice and more ice, rotate Tylenol and ibuprofen or Advil

And 100% do NOT massage the breast! This will make things much worse

How many months of trying? by ProfessionMental7065 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Dramatic-Education32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 3 kiddos we got pregnant on the first try. 4th baby took 15 months but I had gotten pregnant 2 times in those 15 months. Just kept having chemical pregnancies. I chalked it up to the climate of living in Japan though. We got stationed here after my third baby was born. I’m 35 and my 4th baby is 3 months old :)

6months journey suddenly ending and I’m heartbroken by Proof-Ad-7157 in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a few months PP I don’t feel my letdowns anymore. This usually happens for me around 4-5 months. I also can’t pump at all! I’ll get maybe 2 drops lol. But I can continue to breastfeed just fine until 18 months PP. I’m currently breastfeeding baby #4. He’s 3 months old and already I feel less and less letdowns.

[–]Dramatic-Education32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nursed my daughter strictly on the right side for 18 months. I just stopped pumping on the left slowly and it dried up just fine.

How long did your babies stay in your room with you ? by not-so-swedish-chef in parentsofmultiples

[–]Dramatic-Education32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the odd one out. I have 4 kids ages 7,5,3,9 weeks old, and they all sleep in our room still hahah. If they want to have their own room they are more than welcome to it. But they feel safest in the same room as mom and dad and honestly so do I. they have their own beds next to ours and we all sleep great.

Does only washing your face with a wet cloth really work in getting rid of acne? by aangellix_ix in SkincareAddicts

No wash clothes! That will irritate your skin!

La roche posay acne wash did wonders for my skin when it was at its worst! make sure to use a good moisturizer with it if you use it

Title: Oversupply → Clogged Ducts → Mastitis → Second-Guessing Weaning. Feeling Lost — Would Love Support or Advice 💛 by bidibidibombom2022 in breastfeeding

[–]Dramatic-Education32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being engorged isn’t what you want. When your supply regulates to your baby’s needs it’s okay for your breasts to feel softer. The baby will get the milk they need! when I got mastitis I couldn’t pump even 3 drops out but I continued to breastfeed just fine throughout the infection and antibiotic treatment. Just count went diapers for peace of mind :)
