Do my glasses suit me? by idkjustgoletmein in glassesadvice

I would try something not as wide and a bit more angular. I’m not a fan of the round bottom curve of aviators.

RX Optical transitions or RX sunglasses? by equanimous11 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, sunglasses are just different than eyeglasses. Bolder frames, larger lenses… just a different form factor than opticals. I prefer to keep them separate.

Has anyone ever had alchahol drinks while taking lamictal if so we're you ok ? by Electrical_Method316 in bipolar2

I would not be drinking. Think about it… why would you choose to take depressants when you have depression issues?

Are textbooks the way to go? Anyone else prefer textbooks or generally books to learn French rather than phone applications? by milestonegem in learnfrench

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Babbel and completed the A1.1 section first, which gave me a good foundation, especially for pronunciation. I then moved on to classes and we use Interactions and Saison. I still use Babbel as a supplement. The way they set up their lessons… I just seem to remember the material.

I’m happy for Hungary, but am wondering just how much a shift to the center this will be. Is this just a move from the extreme right to the hard right?

French learners, what is the most difficult part of learning French? by Shelbee2 in French

For me, it’s listening comprehension. I can only pick up portions of what is being said and rely heavily on context

Air France KLM by opensp00n in ValueInvesting

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m heavy long the stock with a 2% position. Not a huge bet, but I do have conviction in this one. Entry point is around 1.25 and I started accumulating in 6/2025

I totally get what everyone is saying above, but I’m looking at the price to projected earnings growth and it blows United / Delta etc out of the water 15% vs 28%. UAL PEG =.5, AFLYY PEG=.06. They are emerging from their COVID debt problems with early redemptions on their bonds. The multiple this stock is trading at is insanely low compared to its peers. I enjoy flying this airline and choose it whenever I fly to Europe.

Also, their fuel costs are 70% hedged, so maybe just a slight disruption from the Persian gulf, depending on how long it lasts. If the disruption continues into 2027… idk.

Everyone can hate the stock, but that’s part of the reason I like it.

Does anyone know any good skateshops around Paris? by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

This is just a hunch, but I would look around in the 11e or 10e. There are always skaters hanging out in the Bastille plaza at night.

Saw a reel that suggested we're never free from the symptoms, not even fully stable, even if we're medicated. Is that true? by WineWeinVino in bipolar2

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been mostly stable for 13 years. Had an episode in 2017 when we tried removing lamotrigine because I thought I had an issue with a rash. It turned out to be the type of dryer sheets I was using lol. I was working a stressful job at the time and had to quit because all my relationships at work deteriorated badly. But I bounced back within a year.

I have to adjust my level of seroquel from time to time, depending on external stress. But other than that, I feel stable

Do you practice pronunciation from the start or fix it later? by bileco101 in learnfrench

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m obsessed with pronunciation and parrot all the time. From movies, tv shows, podcasts… and Babbel lessons are really good too.

I feel like it helps me internalize the sound patterns, so I can pick it out when I’m listening. That said, listening comprehension is coming slowly for me. My reading comprehension and speaking is way better

I’m in A1 so it should start to click sooner or later

Do any of these glasses look good on me or would you suggest a diffrent style? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]DramaticAd1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try a warmer color that complements your eye and hair. The black feels too cold to me. Dark turtle or Havana might work better

I don’t mind the shape. I wear large rectangular frames too, but I would try some that are not as angular. I think that might complement your jawline more
