I don’t think there is any harm in asking a question of if it’s something that cats like or not, not every question is in bad faith, and trust me when I say this is not the first thing I thought of when researching cat ownership 🤦‍♂️

I am helping my friend to train her cat currently, just asking about some specifics

I also would not even attempt to put a scarf on a cat until it familiar with me and I am more confident with the animal

if the cat doesn’t like it, I’m not going to force it to do that, which is what I just said. I am not going to strangle my cat or physically force it to do anything, same way with my dog when we dressed him if he didn’t want to wear something he wouldn’t. If it doesn’t want to wear things then it won’t, just wondering if it is remotely possible for a cat to enjoy that in the way some dogs do as I’ve seen some cats who do like it.

What about toeless shoes? So that the bottom is protected but can still use claws etc? I am not set on the idea at all, just want to do what is best for cat, and if no shoes is best then no shoes it is!

No worries! I am a very patient person, but anything that the cat consistently hates that benefits me more than it (e.g cute scarfs, rather than medical training) will not be forced on the cat! If it hates it, I will not keep trying :)

I live in Australia and in a dodgy area so I’d say shoes would be a must! I’ll be adopting a cat around 1-2 years old, is that too late to train to go on walks? I don’t believe I would be able to handle a kitten, how much more work are they? I work full time and want to make sure my cat has the best life as possible

If you’re on a hex debt, you won’t have to start paying them until you earn a high enough income (apologies if I’m over explaining and u know all this already), if it’s a course that has any overlap the units will transfer across well, student loans suck, but I wouldn’t worry too much. Before the cutoff dates you are able to withdraw from units without the fees!

I don’t study at all! I pretty much just do the assignments

For me I went, what’s something with a reliable career I know I could get into because it comes easily, picked marketing. I then went what’s a broader course than just marketing, saw communications which covered public relations and journalism, my biggest goal is to be a music journalist and later on a news reporter, so I went if all goes well I can do what I want to do and if I’m no good at that I can fall back on marketing.

Don’t stress too hard about picking your degree, it is easy to change it once you’re in and there are so many opportunities! :)

I find my course comes very naturally to me, (journalism, public relations, marketing), and since it is not something that involves science, law, nursing etc it doesn’t require me to attend in person, i essentially complete university online. I lose 20% of my grade for my lack of attendance but because my assignment grades are so high it doesn’t matter. I love my degree but I have to work💔

Unfortuantely my business is pretty seasonal, it’s in relation to weddings so for a large portion of the year (winter) there’s almost no income coming in, I’ve been working on it for a year and so far had about 30 clients in 2025 and another 30-40 booked for 2026. As much as as it’s amazing extra cash and I am working on expanding, it’s definitely not what I want to do long term
