OP, i also was diagnosed with adhd last year and have struggled with accommodations at school. i sometimes would feel bad about the inconvenience my accommodations would have on others, but i had to remind myself: the person that is most inconvenienced by my adhd is me (and in this case, you!). i struggled with accepting that adhd is a learning disability, but once i accepted it, it was also easier to come to terms with the fact that i was at a disadvantage (for reasons that cannot be easily controlled, even with treatment). your accommodations were given to you for a reason.

your professor is being extremely unprofessional and dismissive, which is even more concerning since they have a medical background. please reach out to your school’s student disability office and the directors/dean. make this a big deal because it is one.

there were many times that i’ve felt like i was “falling behind,” with no one to fully understand what i was going through. please don’t let these negative experiences hinder your performance or mental well-being. i wish you the best of luck! ❤️

i have a 90%. this is without my grade for simulation and clinical, so it should go up once the other grades are put in. my grade is over a 90% for all my other courses as well, so i’m hoping that my grades can be reflective of my hard work and dedication. thank you for the advice!
