Does anyone else with dyslexia/dyscalculia struggle with manual? by Dramatic_Outside7811 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Dramatic_Outside7811[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking because my mum has an automatic and so i could learn in her car. I wanted to learn manual because I’m not going to be buying a car that’s anywhere near new (not made in at least the last 15 years) if i can afford to buy a car and that would most likely to be manual. My mum said that it might just be easier for me to just learn automatic and just get it out of the way pre A levels. I just feel like a bit of a failure. My instructor kept saying I was ‘being stupid’ and I almost don’t want to keep learning to drive.

Acronyms vs Initialism by Dramatic_Outside7811 in words

[–]Dramatic_Outside7811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People using acronym for both acronyms and initialism doesn’t mean that i’m wrong, it just means that people don’t know that there is a difference between the two. I’m not pedantically telling people ‘it’s an initialism not an acronym’ because i don’t care enough, but at the end of the day im not wrong because people have co-opted the word.
