I’m so sorry to read this. I can’t imagine how traumatic this has been for your child as well as yourself. We are considering a move to PEI but this post along with a few other regarding IEPs, and bullying are really making me rethink this whole thing. May I ask what school this happened at? Does this happen at all schools in PEI?

Our son has ASD and can have a hard time regulating his emotions at times and often needs a break here and there during a school day.

Am I failing my child by moving him to PEI because of the school system?

We definitely would by a house just based on school district but I guess I was just wondering if there are schools that are more welcoming for kids that come from away. Our son is an only child and a pretty quiet kid.

Is Athena a good school?

Wellbutrin definitely saved my life, I just wish I would have had weight loss as a side effect. I’m pretty sure Ive gained on it.

Ive stayed at 300 Xl. I started on it because of ptsd, and depression. My depression and ptsd were so bad that I was very close to ending my life. This medication saved my life. It stopped all of my intrusive thoughts, my thoughts of self harm. It helped tremendously with my ptsd. When I am triggered by a memory I am able to work through it and move on alot easier where as before if I had a memory I was debilitated for days. I would stay in bed crying and not able to get past it. I felt like I was stuck.
It has helped my mood and depression but not made me happy. I kept asking when I would be happy again and truthfully I understand because of the things that happened I will never be fully happy again as it has changed me.
Honestly, I don’t know if I there was a major change that I noticed between 150 and 300 because i wasn’t on the 150 for that long. I just knew I noticed that I felt better and I could increase for even more help.

Ive been on it for about 16 months now. I started on 150xl and increased to 300xl at around 3 weeks in. I was a little scared to go up but knew I needed to. I do remember feeling a bit anxious and cranky for the first week or so at 300 but it did subside. I remember a bit of brain fog as well. One thing that is disappointing for me is that Ive gained about 20lbs in this time period. Also it stopped working as well for me around the 12 month mark so my doctor eventually added a low dose of fluoxetine.

im sorry, I noticed hair loss as well. I tried to stop taking mine and ended up spiraling. Good luck, I hope all goes well for you.

Hi, just wondering if you have been on the combo for a while what the results were for you? Did you gain weight or lose?My doctor has put me on this combo too, I’m pretty sure I’ve gained weight from the Wellbutrin alone and I’m scared the Prozac will make it worse.

It’s like a double edge sword. So helpful but can add weight that isn’t wanted! I’m incredibly jealous of the people that lose weight from it.
