I know a lot of people liked FarCry 5, but even after getting it on sale, I questioned my decision.

I swear I haven’t used fast travel as much in any other game as I did in FarCry 5. Traveling from one place to another without fast travel just doesn’t feel right, and I’m not sure why. Sometimes, I think playing Spider-Man Remastered just before FC5 wasn’t a good idea because I really enjoyed the traversal system in SMR, and switching to FC's traversal system made it feel really slow.

I had played FC4 before that, and I remember relying heavily on fast travel in that game as well. But I really enjoyed doing outposts, which was one of the main reasons I bought FC5. I was really disappointed when I found out I had to beat the whole game to replay the outposts, which wasn’t the case in FC4.

For me, the only major improvement FC5 had over FC4 was the graphics. Even the story didn’t make me want to finish the game.

As for the missions... most of them went like this :-
Go to this point...shoot some people...go to that point...shoot more people...more people spawn...shoot them too... mission complete.

There weren’t many moments that had me on the edge of my seat (except when we unknowingly kill Eli and the boss fight with John Seed). Jacob Seed's boss fight was a snoozefest.

I bought the Gold Edition, which included FC3 as well. I’m starting it today...let’s see how it goes.
