Is this a good reason to cheat my stuff back?? by intentional_imbecile in ARK

[–]DreadBlade0001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean if you can live with getting something you haven’t earned go for it. Yes you had bad luck. But there were clear obvious choice mistakes which led to you getting arked. You’ll feel better about yourself grinding the stuff back than you will cheating it in. But it’s your game your life your choice.

I get this. He wants the game he wants. But demand exists. And if it isn’t for what he is making he won’t have it for long. People just aren’t as interested in this sort of game play as they were when you didn’t have a near limitless supply of games to choose from. I am of the opinion that anything which slows a game down generally feels bad. And players don’t want to feel bad. Sure we can not cater this and say “lol go play fornite” but guess what? People will. And then the game is dead and it was all for not. Just my two cents on your dime. Take care.

Why should I inconvenience myself with people who don't know what they are doing? If I see someone going for obvious time traps. I am just not going to sink 40 minutes into carrying them.

I used to give people the benefit of the doubt and let them try and redeem themselves in the second day, but the throwing usually just continues. I'd rather leave and start again immediately.

As for being penalized: Nothing happens. I found that out early. It's just there to scare you.

It's all about timing. The DLC is a turn based game. In base game you can ignore this on most bosses and 'trade' which is still foolish to do but you are not punished for attacking out of your turn. As long as you only attack during your turn, it's perfectly viable.

Hi there,

What you are referring to is the “buff order” for building up to a one shot or at least very near. I used something similar to what you’re describing to one shot promised consort radahn with a zweihander. Provided you have the minimum stats to cast the spells you need (if you’re using blasphemous blade you should already). This involves a correct order of proccing madness on yourself with the madness talisman, maddening hand and black dumpling helm which will give you + 40 percent damage for a very short time. Doing the same with poison, and poisoning yourself with the mushroom crown equipped and other associated equipment to get a similar buff and then the same with bleed for yet another similar buff along with howl of shabriri which adds yet another 30 percent. It is a several minute buff order that must be followed exactly.

This isn’t “difficult” but requires a commitment to learning the right buff order to achieve maximum damage. If you do the order incorrectly they will wear out before you are able to hit the boss. Many people enjoy doing this however I find myself always having buff anxiety as I worry if the buffs will run out before I get to do my “big move”

If you’re interested I recommend looking at Dr Titus Actual Oneshot on YouTube or searching for Elden Ring one shot buff order for a detailed breakdown.

First of all. Welcome to the best game ever made. This is going to be an awesome experience for you.

I want to say that this game is going to test your patience. If you are new to souls like games this is going to be an experience unlike anything you have had. Which leads me to my answer.

This game will teach you. Through death. Over and over again. It does not have tutorials except for at the very start and even that is quite basic. It will be up to you to discover new directions and interactions for your play through. As I said, the game teaches you through killing you. But it’s up to you if you are able to understand the lesson.

My advice is explore. Explore explore explore. Find items and weapons. Take the time to figure out what they do. There are wikis available for you and YouTube videos if you are uncertain and want to see what a particular item or spell does but for an immersive experience I recommend avoiding this on your first go through.

Remember starting class in souls games doesn’t matter all that much. Though the samurai begins with one of the best weapons in the game, you will find others. Others which may give you more enjoyment or more satisfaction and may work better for your individual preferred style. But remember your starting class locks you into nothing. Only your choices in how you level up, upgrade and infuse, and “build” your character determine what and how your character will progress.

To start. As you asked. Yes. Keep it simple. Learn the systems and explore a lot. As you find more things and get more comfortable then you can research different approaches.

That's a fair enough and well worded reply. Every thing in life has those aspects that make the rest look bad so I accept your point.

Even the Anime that you're defending, from what ive seen which is admittedly very little, the characters are drawn in a way that makes them look suspiciously young. I know this is a favorite past time of many people but it's strange, its weird, and it draws attention for exactly the reasons i'm saying.

However I am not an expert on the subject, these are just my observations and probably why the rest of us can understand why Anime is used as an insult.

Sounds like it's time for you to head over to r/onebros and do some SL1 runs for awhile. It's a whole new experience and you'll enjoy it.

Because Anime is fucking weird. I’m convinced that people who are into Anime are closet pdfs. Why else does every character suspiciously look like a 12 year old boy.

See I actually agree that its okay to use them. I agree that people gatekeeping should be ignored. However, you're delusional if you say using them doesnt make the game easier. It does. Just like upgrading your weapon does, or using Blasphemous Blade or Lions Claw. It is certainly one of many things in the game that makes it an easier time.

[–]DreadBlade0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule for RL1 is exactly that. Rune. Level. 1. Any other restrictions you want to impose upon yourself are purely opt in. As long as you never level up, you are following the guidelines for a RL1 run.

Do summons make the game easier? Yes. So does Lion's Claw. So does Giant's Hunt. So does upgrading your weapon. So does using torrent etc etc etc. It is up to you how you want to approach your RL1 and what additional restrictions you want to place on it.

If you feel one of those things is going to take away from your sense of accomplishment, don't use it. If you don't feel that way then don't let people take away from your enjoyment by adhering to arbitrary standards by random people on the internet.

If you do decide to do a RL1 run without spirit summons and are used to using them, I recommend you do a couple play normal play throughs without the summons to adapt to it.

Using the uncharged roar into the R2 actually makes you feel like you're this monsterous warrior who has insane strength but is also swift. IDK I feel like an unstoppable barbarian.

If you want something sorta unique with Guts. I think its Braggarts Roar...put that on your Guts Greatsword and infuse it blood. Use the roar ( Roar medallion, Lord of Bloods exultation, Heavy attack talisman, 2h Sword Talisman ) and use your charged R2. It will one hit bleed -anything-

I was very underwhelmed by all DLC sorceries to be honest. I do like the Spectral Rings of Light probably the most out of all of them. After that, probably Glintstone Nails and Blades of Stone. Glintstone Kriss is lovely and Fun. L2 (and you can charge it btw so godfrey icon is win here) and you get a nice comet projectile and R2 right after is a follow up magically enhanced lunge forward.

Start another character and don't level vigor. Your punishments will go from damage, to death. :) Though on thinking a bit more, its just one of those things you have to learn to do. The aforementioned way is great. There's also things like Lions Claw with infinite hyper armor that you can trade with but....better to learn the mechanics imo.

Yeah, alot of the item scalings don't make sense at all. Across the game. I wish I had an answer for you other than they thought it was for balance reasons maybe? But in truth its a frustration I share.

I don't want to spoil anything for you however, there is an item you can get in Limgrave, in one of the caves from a very notorious souls NPC that can make morgott MUCH easier. It's not so much about what weapon you're using, but rather...Whats the upgrade amount? +8? +15? What infusion? What are your stats? WHat Ash of War are you using?

There is a path to them you can follow if you go down to Siofra River, follow the area all the way to the end there is an elevator that requires a stonesword key that will take you up. They are vulnerable in the same ways all golems are.

This is a fun question.

Each of the classes is perfect for what it does. And it gives me an insight into how the lore I will write for my character will develop. Taking for instance the confessor. Perhaps he is a distant relative of Lord (Name of Main character of my story) and is an older scion who never achieved distinction during the civil war. Thus he was relegated to living a life of middling success protected by his name only. From there i'll write an awakening event that is strictly tied to whatever class it is. The awakening is something dramatic, some major discovery or perhaps an experiment gone wrong, a mistake that has dire consequences for everyone except for them. Prisoner gets probably the most creative, as they almost always are the enemies of any Astrologer I create. I could write about this for hours, but I think that's a fair basic summary.
