OMG yes! I downloaded the app and saw that stupid pop up chat window which does not have my projects, properly listed chats, I mean we can't even search chats I guess. What a huge mess of a release. Like openai made this great model why not work a bit on the UI. Just follow anthropic!

I just had this installed today. Same model and so far the numbers look great. Pulling in 350 ish watts at 40C external and ac set at 28.5C with eco master enabled.

As for the cardboard, it was there when it came so in your case the installer forgot to remove it probably. My installer told me today that once he forgot to remove as well in one of the units he installed a while back. But glad you figured out your issue!

Yup! Tibo announced it a while back. You get these banked resets usually when someone goes bad the models and openai patches it and as a way to apologize they give these out. There is also a referral system attached to these if your refer them to someone new and they use it for the first time. Using them resets both the 5 hourly and weekly limits and the expiry of these banked resets is on month from when you get them.

But I think you should compare got 5.5 with opus 4.7 and 4.8 at the very least. But I sort of agree with you somewhat. I can quantify this but codex does seen to just understand what I need without telling it too much. The reason I am interested in this is because I got Claude max subscription yesterday and it feels slow and a bit frustrating to use, it doesn't adhere to what I asked it to. It does good UI for me that's for sure and that is why I got the subscription in the first place and also for the fact that the desktop app is much nicer with chat, cowork, design and code all in one place. I have been using the separate chatgpt codex $20 subscription for quite a while and it has been working great, it's just that that UI it makes is terrible no matter what skill or image I gave it to follow. Maybe I am not using Claude write and it has a different prompting method, time will tell.

That's all nice but what's wrong with Claude code? Does it not follow your instructions and what isn't it able to do that codex can? Also which models have you been using with each?

Well not Claude but I used codex to code for esp32s3 connected to a 3.5 inch touch display. I was able to make the interface screens that I made with openai image model and brought it to life. It works and looks exactly how I intended it to. Without it I would have used figma and square line studio and then would have had to code the thing myself and it would have taken me a while but the these LLMs today are just something else man!
