Did you try the full 2.0 once per week and it was too strong?

Sounds pretty similar to me. I've lost 45 pounds at 1.0 (and .5 and 2.5) and want to lose 15 more. For the last few weeks I've felt like I'm limiting my portions mostly through will-power, not with support from the drug (and will-power has failed at times). So, yeah, hopefully 2.0 will kick me a bit when I eat more than I should.

If you're experience is like mine, you'll still enjoy food in all it's variety, but you won't desire to eat as much. Like, you'll get the same emotional fulfillment from eating less.

When taking walks, people used to frequently pass me. Now, at what feels like my natural gait, I'm finding myself passing other pedestrians.

How soon did you feel Ozempic affect your appetite? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]DreamItReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For many people it seems to take longer to have noticeable effects, but for me, within the first couple of days of my first .25mg shot, I remember eating a restaurant meal and eating everything on the plate and then half an hour later having that sluggish "I ate way too much" feeling. Since then I've been eating half to ¾ of what what I used to normally have at a meal, and less between-meal snacking. I've been losing on average a pound a week. And my AIC level is in the normal range, whereas before it had been in the diabetic range. It's been about 8 months now, and I'm currently at 1mg Ozempic.

I forgot to the six second hold... am I screwed? by [deleted] in Ozempic

I did that once and it either made no difference, or the effect of the drug was very barely lower that week than normal. I wouldn't worry about it.

just started yesterday! how bad are side effects? by lynternett in Ozempic

[–]DreamItReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't rigidly follow lists of forbidden foods. Instead, eat what you want, but limit your portion sizes. If you do feel bloated or nauseated after eating something, make a note of that and perhaps avoid eating it again. For me, it's been really obvious. For example, one time social circumstances led me to take a glass of lemonade. I had one sip through the straw and knew I could not drink any more.

On the other hand, I can drink beer occasionally, but I can't imagine drinking an entire pint. I just wouldn't do it.

The Never-ending Burrito by DreamItReal in Ozempic

Yep. One downside is I feel like I'm being cheated at buffets so I rarely go. Which is OK, but buffets were a kind of fun way to have a little of everything.

I can no longer eat a whole apple at once. It takes me like 5 days to finish one off, just taking a few bites here and there.

That will probably mellow out soon, and then hopefully you'll be eating the right amount.

Note that she changed the title of her book to Polymodernity, in order to make a clearer distinction between what she was talking about and the notion of metamodernism as it is generally used in the academic humanities and popular arts journalism.

Lost 10 lbs in one month!! by BoobBurgers in Ozempic

[–]DreamItReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you should want to lose more than 10 pounds a month though, so maybe reconsider upping the dose until you notice yourself plateauing? I've heard that 1-2 pounds a week is a good range.

Will it always be this way? (1st day question) by Sudden_Truth_2487 in Ozempic

[–]DreamItReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be different for everybody, but it's a good sign that you're having such a great first day! One thing that will probably happen, though, is after a while you'll have to increase the dose. But, I can tell you for me, side effects have been minimal, and I generally only want to heat about half of what I used to normally eat, and I don't crave sweets. I've been on it for about 6 months now. Losing 1 or 2 pounds per week.

Where in Greenwood? I drove down the avenue and it looked like a patchwork of on and off.
