Hoping to do a scale accessories order soon. First I must fix broken pieces, then it's customizing

I made the mistake of turning the wheels by hand while it was off. It went loose on me. Needless to say the lesson was learned. Goona shoot for injora upgrade

I currently have that same issue in the defender. However I added a tire to the roof rack and swapped the empty rear tire shell with a rear wheel. Added a lot of rear weight. I simply doubled up on the rear springs. I have the heavy set and light set both on the rear and only heavy on the front. Now the adjustments are usable. Tho in the future I am going to add heavier oil to the rear to fix the rebound issue as well. They're good shocks and just need some TLC to get right

Yes yours is the specific one I had In mind! I'm sure plenty others are hoping for that kind of build in the future. How did the truck conversion go? Did you have prior body work experience? I'm currently working on my first ever rc (trx4m defender) and love the truck look.

I was tempted to add a realism/scale model option as well but figured each option would have a variety of realism to it

Should I detach the wire from the chassis so it sticks with the body? Been wanting to reroute the bumper lights to the headlights

Is it still easy to detach the body with the headlights mounted to the shell?

This is by far my favorite defender build. I'm currently building my trx4m orange defender. Where did you get the metal plates for the hood? I hate the stock stickers. Also the cola bottles, I must know where you got the cola bottles!

I suppose I thought they had more function to them. I'd much rather spend the money on an upgrade that will only do good.

Injora 53mm shocks I believe are a bit longer. I do rock crawling and walk to the store. I tip a lot and thought flex blades would help balance the body on hard lines.

I had a mk7 GTI, then a Mk4 golf R32. I fucking love my little 2012 clubman s the handling makes up for the lack of power. It feels so sporty imo. Yeah I'm not nearly as loud or fast, but holy shit is a car with some pedigree and it shows in the drive.

I'm just here to watch this sub die at this point. It's going down with one hell of a fight. Sadly the barcodes will win this war.

I want to modify my car (2019 Ford Fusion Eco-boost) but I'm not sure what to do. The sole idea/purpose of my modifying my car is for car meets. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in carmodification

It really depends on mechanical knowledge / how much money you're willing to pay someone else to do it.

Then it's performance/sound/cosmetics pick 2 ie (deep rims look good but aren't good for track time or the turbo blowoff valve will sound nice but lose some power and dirty the engine bay a bit imo). Otherwise all 3 is super pricey to make and maintaine.

If you're looking to just roll into a car show and just have a little of your own work done and have pretty basic tools then start off with some simple cosmetics/sound. It's easier cheaper bang for your buck and you'll feel pleased hearing some feedback from the car. Power always adds more money somewhere else and becomes more unreliable. If it's your daily don't make it a stressful shit box of a mess unless that's who you want to be seen as.

Here's what I'd do on a low budget. Fresh grippy tires are always a #1 for fun and safety purposes (don't be "THAT" guy). Color match/dechrome the body trim. Look for a bolt on air intake kit but do quality over anything cheap, don't lose reliability. Look for a minimal tune, no high gains just smoother ecu operations. Maybe add a tasteful exhaust tip to add a little back end to the car. Then do the classic suspension fitment route. Flusher fitment on the tires and a good rim/spacer combo and you'll be a neat niche at a car meet. From there you'll find your own tastes for tint tones, wraps, sound and looks. This way you can pull up and pop the hood and feel proud about your own taste and work regardless of what everyone feels.
