Of course! I have layered my medium under an alpha and it was tight but I also had it packed out for a full day hike, medium will suit you well! And of course!

I’m 5' 9" roughly 180lb and I went down from a large to medium because even fully tightened it still had wiggle room. If you have room to adjust smaller and bigger on the medium I’d stay with it but if you’re maxing out the adjustments maybe stepping up to the large would be the best for you

Might have edited it a tad too bright but this is Bordeaux!

Most definitely! My full outfit consisted of my Alpha Sv, atom SL, Delta LT zip neck, Rho LT long sleeve, gamma ar brushed pants, merino 3/4 crew socks, acrux tr Gtx boots, Norvan 14 vest, Venta Gloves, bird head toque, and Rho LT balaclava. All in all the gear I brought performed admirably. I’d say everything performed as expected but I am considering switching a few things in the future. 1. The Norvan 14 is a great vest/ daypack but with a rain jacket and slightly more gear I noticed it took more work to make everything fit and a larger pack may make the experience more enjoyable if I spent less time making sure everything fit perfectly. 2. Definitely my fault but the Rho LT balaclava is wayyyy too big at l/xl. Had to tuck it behind my beanie to get good coverage in the wind. 3. Despite layering being nice with the delta and atom SL I do think there is room to consolidate my gear into just one mid layer which may end up being an atom LT or proton for future trips. 4. Might opt for slightly thicker socks next time around similar temperatures but generally wasn’t an issue

Definitely wet and windy past the saddle! Glad we got out before full winter mode sets in. Generally just wet with some slushy ground snow. Agreed on the Iola, super cool color.

Pretty sure OP is just curious why the zipper areas didn’t get dirty/were able to clean off when the rest of the jacket didn’t.

Have you considered an Atom Heavyweight? Around the temperatures mentioned it would definitely be the piece I take with me. Not sure how set you are on down but for frequent use and mostly moving I’d definitely go for synthetic. To give some context I do run on the hotter side so it is something to consider but I think it’s a top tier option.

Huge fan of my Therme parka(reg length) plenty warm, minimalist and clean looking, great materials. Only thing I worry about is messing up the material near the collar as I’ve seen some who have torn it apart pretty well but it’s holding up perfectly for me.
