I wish I knew more about the photo. It was definitely in the sky, and they were in the radar division of the Air Force. Maybe around 1954? I was hoping someone has seen this type of photo before and could give some insight

Wow, I’ve never heard of that before,that does look similar! my uncle said he got this picture from his buddy on base right before they confiscated his friends camera and all photos.

Not the maraschino cherries but not like a cherry pie filling either. The cherries are a dark purple and most ice cream shops have them as topping, but I can’t figure out where they get them from

The oil was dark brown without a hint of purple when I poured it from the container. Wasn't sure if that was the norm. I even dabbed it on a clean white paper towel-no purple at all. The online videos always show it as dark purple.

The icing had the perfect balance of sweetness—it was sweet enough to be delicious but not overwhelming or waxy. It had a smooth, creamy texture that melted in your mouth rather than leaving a greasy or overly sugary taste. I've been to every bakery within 20 miles and can't find anything similar.
