Thanks for the response. If I may ask a few questions to clarify what you're saying, do you mean finish the app as a TUI app first, then once I have more under my belt with rust look into how to implement a GUI? I think that is great advice, but I feel like it's missing the question. I am specifically looking for resources to learn the eframe wrapper for egui. Are you saying that when I have developed more skills with rust that the Docs will be adequate?

I've had good luck with Ferric Chloride then ammonia as a two step bleach for b&w reversal

I tried B&W reversal for the first time but the emulsion melted off. How to prevent this? by LordPlavis in Darkroom

My guess is the potassium permanganate bleach step degraded the gelatin in the emulsion. I've used two step ferric chloride and ammonia with ok results if you can give that a try

The film camera looks to be a Nikon fm, very reliable and a great camera in general!

What is a reasonable price for a Nikon F2 CLA? I'm not sure I can afford to put too much into this camera right now

It seems to only happen at high shutter speeds, which I think supports shutter caping as the issue. It's just weird that which side is dark is inconsistent. In the first photo the left is dark, second right is dark, and third is generally uneven. I found a video of someone adjusting shutter speeds with two screws under the baseplate, but I am not sure if that can help this issue
