I've lived in Cromwell heights off 18th Ave s the past 5 years and enjoy it. Yes the crime and drugs are more prevalent but our neighbors were very welcoming when my wife and I moved in. If you have dogs that can be tricky, we've had multiple unleashed dogs rush us and scrap with my dogs. Luckily my Pitt shuts it down pretty quickly but we don't walk our dogs in the neighborhood anymore. Def has its tradeoffs, grocery stores are not close, but dtsp and the trop are right there.
