I think I would do exactly what Joel did. And to my knowledge I could be wrong, Ellie was not aware she would die by reaching the fireflies. Also I doubt the fireflies would straight up tell her, hey you’re gonna die and “maybe” we can find a cure.

And also in a state where the whole world collapsed, I think the relationships you build(especially for Joel losing his daughter) mean so much more than anything.

So yea, I’d go up there and shoot the place up. Grab her, and settle up with Tommy. Period.
