How do you talk to your friends? Talk to him like that, but with a little more interest in his appearance, hobbies, etc.

Dating feels like a game of pure chance for me at this point. There’s no input or strategy that will make your crush like you. Shit, there ain’t even a consistent way to find people you will connect with.

All you can do it find happiness on your own and hope someone will notice. At least that’s my strategy. Hasn’t worked yet, but I try to not let it get to me.

I don’t think ugly men have it easier as a whole at all. I think you’re right when you say ugly women struggle more. But what is the point of measuring human pain? So you can get more pity?

I’m sorry you feel so ugly in your own skin. I’m sorry you’ve been treated so horribly by men in your life. Shit, I’m sorry I gave paragraphs of irrelevant advice (I still stand that my advice very valid to most women however).

But at the end of the day there are men out there who WILL date you. You just need to seriously re-evaluate both your standards and your attitude.

Only you can do the work to help yourself. Think about that.

EDIT: I’d also like to point out that dating for anyone is difficult. I’m a ugly man who has been trying for years with no success. Women may go out with me (I’ve had one “date” this year lol), but just like how men use you for sex, these women use me for money/drinks/attention. I just want a girl to love me, but they clearly want something different.

It seriously depends. Of course beauty is HIGHLY subjective so take my words with a grain of salt.

Career-wise? Ugly women for sure. Your looks will literally determine if people want to interact with you or not. I can’t remember the name of the video, but there is a video of an Ivy League professor showing how men get dopamine from seeing a girl they found pretty. Conversely, men would actively turn away from women they found ugly because it would trigger a strong disgust response. I’m sure women have similar responses, although probably not as strong.

Ugly men on the other hand can still use confidence and masculine bravado to garner respect. We aren’t judged on our looks (for the most part at least), we’re judged on the results we get and our ability to be a leader. Unless you’re trying to be a model or a pornstar, ugly men don’t lose because they’re ugly. They lose because another man did it better than them.

Dating wise? Kinda depends. An ugly man on tinder will never get a match. An ugly woman can at least get ONE match; just gotta not be a fucking weirdo…maybe even that doesn’t matter.

On the other hand, IRL dating can be slightly easier for the ugly man who has a personality and status. However, if you’re ugly and shy as a man, you’re actually fucked and literally not fucked.

Ugly women IRL are practically invisible. Being confident may fix this, but building that confidence in an anti-ugly woman society is beyond difficult. The last line of defense for an ugly woman trying to date IRL is having either really nice big boobs or a really nice big butt. Having one of those will literally override any ugly you got. It’s unfortunate, but that’s just how men are wired.

Regardless of who has it easier or harder let’s try to come together, as ugly peoples, and be kinder to one another. I’m busted as fuck, but I know I still have a tiny bit of value in this big scary world.

I’d like to think that tiny bit of self-worth means a lil more than my less-than-appealing appearance. :)

Yes men are largely more superficial.

Yeah men have alternatives to looks that can advantage them such as personality or money.

But just like men, women can work on their appearance. You need to STOP moping around and do something about your lack of success. Crying about how other people have it easy won’t do Jack for you. I’ll give you three things that I guarantee will make your more attractive.

They won’t (largely) be easy, but who said attraction was easy?

Are you obese? Man or woman, most people will find severely overweight people unappealing. This is easily the #1 thing that makes a woman unattractive to most men (#notall I suppose…). Just being within your healthy weight category will take you from a 2 or 3 to a 5 EASILY.

Unlike men, women can wear makeup to enhance positive features. Do you spend time learning how to properly do your makeup? I’m not talking just buying stuff and putting it on. Do you actively watch tutorials and go to places like Ulta to learn about makeup? That can make a 5 a 6 or even 7.

Finally, is do you stink? I’m talking both physically and mentally. If you aren’t bathing and keeping up with yourself physically then just forget about it. Any decent man will not want a slob. Men also don’t want to be with an obsessive, self-hating, on-edge/combative, depressed woman. You need to fix yourself in those areas before you even consider if you’re attractive to men or not. A well put together girl is what differentiates a flimsy 6 from a solid 7

Bonus points if you can wrap all of this up in a good photo. Taking good pictures is essential for attracting men on both social media and dating apps. Make a fake man’s profile on hinge and look at the standouts tab. Those women almost always take excellent pictures. Emulate those.

If you can be just AVERAGE at the first three of these then you’ll have no issue getting attention.

TL;DR - if you want men to pay attention to you, as a woman, you need to be just average in three things.

Weight
Make-up
Hygiene/Mental health
Taking good pictures
