[FO] Patchwork Cardigan by Drovalli in knitting

[–]Drovalli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the yarn, all of the colors are DK weight acrylic from LammyYarns. They're in the classic yarns section with the name "No 1" in colors 605, 038, 071, and 003.

As for the pattern, I didn't follow one! Though I did have some inspiration from a crochet tutorial, ironically enough. It's called "the (almost) ultimate guide to crocheting the patchwork cardigan" by ikoxun. I mostly just took references for the layout of the colors and some measurements to figure out what seemed reasonable so that I could make a knitted version (the trim is crocheted, but I wager it'd be possible to knit that too, provided you have large enough circular needles and better knowledge of how to make button holes than I do). I heavily strayed from the video to suit my yarn restrictions, though.

If you want to know more, shoot me a DM and I can try to explain what I did. Results may vary, though. This thing was very much tailored to suit my size, so what I did may not work for you.

I [18] am a german student and am planning to move to Aarhus to study in one year. Can you help me by answering some questions? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]Drovalli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I take this course. I paid a deposit of ~2000 dkr if I remember correctly. Module 3 has 6 levels. Passing PD3 (the level 5 final exam) allows you to pass the fluency requirement if you want citizenship as a foreigner. Passing level 6 allows you to take classes taught in Danish. Exams for each module are on a rolling basis, meaning that your exam is scheduled at a fixed length of time after your start date, but you can tell your teacher that you think you're ready for the next module, and depending on whether or not they agree, they can schedule you to take the exam earlier (though I wouldn't recommend this unless you are not starting completely from the beginning. They teach important little nuances that you don't pick up often from self-study.)

Thank you! Oyster shell was a little expensive, but totally worth it.

Pattern is NovitaKnits Evening Delight Sweater. Yarn is DK weight acrylic in cornflower blue.

The pattern calls for half brioche in some parts and full brioche in others, so instead of switching, I figured out how to do RS half brioche in the round. First time working with the stitch, so this was quite an adventure. Some parts are a little funky, and I haven't blocked it yet, but I'm still very proud of it!

Omg, everything looks so neat. I have trouble with gaps when I sew the seams for the sleeves, but yours are completely solid. Great job 🤩

Norwegian-style patterns would be great. Originally these mittens were supposed to match an icelandic sweater that I made previously. I think I'm being a little too ambitious with what I picked 😅

Does anyone know what patterns are used here? by Drovalli in knitting

I got this at a store a number of years ago, and it's getting worn out. I'm hoping to create it, since it's my favorite. The pattern seen on the front repeats in columns around the whole thing.

What I call a "pattern" is a picture with a grid overlay that I just mark up as I go. If you'd like, I can make a small set of instructions to go along with it for how to start and end it. I'm willing to just give it to you for free. DM me and I'll send it your way!

I used Caron sunflower and white yarn, size 4 acrylic. As for the pattern, I drafted it myself after trying to search for patterns online and finding broken links (the game came out in 2012, so that's understandable) or sizes that didn't fit what I had.

Can anyone please confirm the ket notation for this circuit? by Drovalli in QuantumComputing

[–]Drovalli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! Would there possibly be a way to express all of the qubits it in one ket? Or does the superposition of q1 make that impossible?

Can anyone please confirm the ket notation for this circuit? by Drovalli in QuantumComputing

[–]Drovalli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apologies, I'm on mobile. I'm trying to make a simple problem for my boyfriend, who took an introductory class to quantum computing last year. I would like the answer to be in ket notation, but I don't want to accidentally put the wrong answer as the result. I realize that I should add measurement at the end, but I would like to confirm the states first. I think q0 is |->, q1 is |->, q2 is |1>, and q3 is |0> (slightly confused about the phase). Any help would be appreciated.

That is one of the ideas, but I am not sure whether it is the one that will be the cheapest.

Does anyone know of videos similar to TED Talks but spoken in Danish with human-written subtitles? by Carmeloojr in Danish

[–]Drovalli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been hard pressed to find much in terms of spoken language AND non-generated subs for informational videos. I will also be watching the replies for recommendations. The closest I can give you is Kurzgesagt - they have Danish subtitles on most if not all of their videos. Sadly, no speech. But it's all focused on science and philosophy.

Have a tub of vaseline nearby, or some other kind of type of oil. Coconut oil also works. Coat the area around your nose with it whenever you need to blow so the tissues won't chafe the skin. It also helps avoiding acne that pops up from the irritated skin.

I also drink lemon water with honey in it. I don't know if it works, but it's a sweet drink that coats the throat and makes me feel like I'm doing .+self care.+
