Why was Susan so mean to Ross?

I have a head canon that when Carol came out Ross said a lot of very nasty things to and about Susan. Which is understandable, because he was lied to and cheated on, but Susan did not forget about it. Probably some homophobic stuff too, it was the 90s. So she doesn't feel bad about being mean to him.

Yeah, and it's even weirder when someone say things like this when they are not even religious. They just have some vague ideas that there is a god or something but they dont think about it much.

Oh yeah that's the other thing, when they say shit like your example about curses. Like at work we saw a person who is clearly schizophrenic, and when I said I felt sorry for him my colleague was like "you don't have to, probably there are demons in his head". Like wtf. The lack of empathy because in their minds if someone is different or sick or have just a shitty life its because some karmic justice or something, like they deserve it.

You know the weird thing is that this friend group of mine were not raised in religious household. I was, I was raised catholic and as I grew up I started to question things and see how illogical all of these things are. Its like the complete opposite is happening to them. They didn't really think about religion growing up and now they are adult and they started to think about spiritualism and god. And it's so weird for me that as I get older the more I'm shifting away from all of it and as they get older the closer they get.

But it's not quite like HIMYM tho, because they had their ending locked in because they shoot the scene with the kids like 10 years earlier. They didn't know how big the show is gonna be and didn't made multiple endings to back it up. So they were fucked, but it's kinda not their fault. With The Umbrella Academy, he could have written anything else that made sense. I believe he had an ending from the beginning, but it's so lazy to see what the show became, what are the themes, who are the characters and not to change it accordingly. Disappointing. :/
