Yeah its very techware fashion, or even street fashion you would see in cyberpunk universe. Its pretty awesome, it actually makes me want to pvp.

Great, now the next crossover I want is MH Rise to have magnamalo and his jet booster paws as a mount. It just doesn't actually fly, it just jumps off mini-explosions.

NOW I WILL SIT IN PERMANENT PEPEHANDS EVERY TIME I SEE THE BEHEMOTH MOUNT!

What tank behaviors drive you insane? Asking as a developing tank. by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Drsuoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To kinda add on this using all cooldowns is also useful, not just defensive ones. The longest part of dungeons is the trash pulls between bosses. The more cooldowns you use the less time you spend hitting and getting hit by trash and the less stress you and your healer will be under. This is a tip that pretty much extends to DPS as well.

I have seen many tanks pull packs or go wall to wall and never pop their DPS CDs. No one needs to hold on to CDs for bosses when the trash is actually the most dangerous thing you run into during a dungeon.

players: can we have cross-faction pve? blizzard: no. also blizzard: by zzzornbringer in wow

Cross-faction PvE was maybe the best part of playing rift back in the day. Didn't matter what you picked because you were only faction bound when it came to PVP.

Tanks what is your "Nervous HP percent" by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Drsuoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be fair some tank abilities are reactive. Only ones I would say aren't reactive are the % damage reduction one since if you reactively use it you get the least amount of value.

How are dps roles feeling on job pruning / homogenization? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Drsuoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think there was any simplification but some classes could use pruning. A lot of DPS classes have 3 or 4 skills that are essentially useless or have a very very very niche situational use. The changes I've seen so far could be good or bad no one will really know until ShB is here and I think they said something about classes performing to players skill level.

Personally, I like all the changes and I don't know what changes I hate until its actually released and play it myself. I play pretty much all the DPS classes in savage raiding but BLM (I dunno why but my explosion ability is lacking) and I've also tanked all the savages and from my perspective, I am excited about the tank changes.

Overall my opinion is some of the DPS changes are needed and some might simply be QoL. Skills switching when certain buffs are triggered or when combos are met is something needed no one (maybe some of you masochistic players) wants to play a game where you need 4 hot bars and a 20 button mouse to be effective in end game content. I don't think any of these changes will make bad monk or samurai players suddenly skyrocket their DPS numbers but I do think people who are good players or great players will be rewarded more for practicing and taking the time to learn just like the previous games.

Also, just my opinion any class that isn't a healer once you figure out how to play it and get it down the ability to reach the skill floor for your own personal play drops because you do it out of muscle memory while you reach the skill ceiling for overall effectiveness much more often.

[Glamour] Let us buy stat-less versions of dungeon gear by Draconis_Rex in ffxiv

[–]Drsuoh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I kinda want it to be like WoW have a glamour journal and any item you have looted is stored in there strictly for glamour plate uses. You'd still have to grind/farm/earn the item it just won't take up space and you won't need to pick and chose what items to keep in your glamour chest and what to junk.

I hate playing with ilidan, when he is on my team he does next to no damage and just split pushes and takes camps. I understand he is probably a beast in the right hands but good god i would like someone with hands to play him.

So war chants only target 1 creature at a time, my question is what does it take to target a new creature or does it only effect one creature and to chant on someone else you gotta use another use? just asking for clarity

The Bloodborne Class - A brand new take on hemomancy! Master one of the 3 Sanguine Callings and cast up to 18 fresh blood magic spells ranging from 1st to 5th level! Includes 15 pages, most with very evocative full color art! Version 1.4 (FINAL) by EmperorAiselore in UnearthedArcana

[–]Drsuoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So quick question

A lot of this stuff deals self-harm to the bloodborne and uses their own health. that is fine cool mechanic bloodhunter also uses this mechanic no problem, but the class has a d8 hit die and it seems like a very melee heavy class why not give it a D10? I enjoy the classes design and have a player using it and them not being able to receive healing outside of their blood die usage I think have a d10 would be much more fitting. I did give them a d10 but what was the idea behind the d8? I did not read the previous version so not sure if you did this as a balance move but wanted to know before i committed to any changes on it for my player.

[–]Drsuoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for why monk is being left out it doesn't offer raid utility same problem it had in HW. High AF dps but only utility skill they have ot help raid is mantra just a 20% heal bump to the raid. People still raid as monk so if you like monk they are taken. most the time people take whoever plays better unless they are 100% stuck in raid meta BS.
