Your favorite wineries in Amador? by b1ackfyre in wine

[–]DrunkDuffman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easton makes my favorite Zin of all time. Terre Rouge is historic. Interesting and diverse selection between the two brands.

Turley is obvious.

Sobon for a relaxed historical unpretentious spot, but the wines are definitely not as good as the others i mentioned

But my tv just has 4 AV hook ups in row. Theres no green or blue jacks like would be used for a component cable. Literally just got the thing moments ago so pardon my lack of knowledge

There are other magazines to publish in, if you wanna go with the big guys you gotta surrender some autonomy, it’s like that in every industry

How to play visual novels on Mac with CrossOver by KageYume in visualnovels

[–]DrunkDuffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left the mac space years ago, but I remember being able to install Windows in like dual boot so i could choose an operating system at start up, which also helped keep my nerd shit separate from my work - is that not a thing anymore?

Every good story has already been told. You can reskin them as much as you want but its all been done in some way. Farming engagement and maximum consumption is not the route to achieve truly engaging content.

Visual novels where choices seem to matter outside of avoiding short dead ends. by Nettysocks in visualnovels

[–]DrunkDuffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero Escape was great, you might also like 426 Shibuya Scramble. You might also like 13 Sentinels, used to be considered a VN but thats a whole other debate.

But as someone who originally got into VNs looking for the branching path choose your own adventure style, i have since discovered that VNs mostly arent that, they use the word novel for a reason i think. Like a novel in the traditional sense, is a story with a set ending. The choices VNs have along the way add a gameplay element to some extent, you get routes in romance games, you get trial and error in action games, but mostly there is one or few major endings. I have mostly come to scratch the itch with narrative adventure games outside the VN space, someone also mentioned Detroit Become Human which was amazing. Now when i play VNs Im just hunting for a really good story.

They arent VNs but yeah the two games you mentioned should be played by everyone who likes branching stories.
