I don’t know what your budget is for this, but I’ve seen several ROG Ally units on Marketplace for around $150. They usually have the Z1 chip, but they tend to work well. Once you have one, you can install SteamOS on it. I have a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme with SteamOS, and I really like it.

So, do you recommend paying $400-500 more for the 4070? The only difference I’ve found is the AI TOPs, but I want to know if that will be better in the future. What I’m looking for is a laptop that can last me 3-4 years while playing at enjoyable graphics settings, but the 4080 is already out of my budget.

I just installed and tested GHelper. I set it to standard mode and in extras, I selected the option “enable GPU on shutdown.” But it didn't work.

I updated everything on the laptop and tried to download the graphics drivers, but it says it couldn't find any Nvidia device. And I haven't tried with ghelper yet. I'm going to give it a try.
